Big tour groups

I will admit I haven't read everything on this thread. We have been here for just over 2 weeks. There are groups, but I have heard no chanting and seen no line cutting. We are off site so no issues there. We did have one frustration trying to get a bus from Studios to Didney Springs and the entire bus filled up with a tour group.

I want to share that at Epcot the other day there was a group of maybe 20-30 girls sitting well out of the way along the side if club cool. A mom with one in a stroller and another by the hand stopped and let go of the stroller which tipped over backwards. Before I could get there to help a bunch of the girls from the tour group ran over. Some entertained the older child being silly and playing pat-a-cake while others righted the stroller and picked up everything that had fallen.

So, those kids did exactly what I would hope my child or my students would do!

I was at POP for two days and now staying offsite until Saturday. I only had two issues at POP with the tour groups playing music and talking loudly outside Building #5 near the pool. I had to call security twice before anything was done.

As far as the parks go, there have been a lot of groups in the park but I have no seen any issues with anyone except taking pictures in Haunted Mansion and sticking their hand in the water of Pirates.

If their version of having a good time involves cutting in line, chanting loudly, banging on hotel doors and windows, and making human chains in crowded places, then yes -- that will bother me. Don't think that makes me "bitter and jaded". I just don't care for people being SO inconsiderate of others. Lucky you if that doesn't bother you, I guess!

I've never experienced any of those things from tour groups except for the chanting which has never been during a performance or anything so it doesn't bother me. I was in line yesterday for the safari at AK. 8 or 10 kids started a little chant which sounded like birthday wishes. Completely inoffensive. A cast member yelled "no chanting! It bothers the other guests!" It was so harsh and in my opinion completely uncalled for. The kids were obviously dejected and embarrassed. I want Disney and everyone else to know that cast member was not speaking for me. I don't have a stick up my ***.

Wow -- charming. Ok. Well lucky that you didn't get the banging on your hotel door and windows at night or any of their other not-uncommon behavior.

The CM said it bothers people because it DOES bother a lot of people!! If I were in your shoes, I'd be happy the chanting didn't bug me, but perhaps try to stop short of insulting everyone who IS bothered.

OK, so like someone earlier said, when are the tour groups there? I went in January about 5 years back, and that is when I met up with them. It wasn't horrible that year, but they were definitely just plopped down in the middle of crowded walkways in the middle of the day which seemed really weird. I started reading on here that January is their "summer vacation" so that's why they are here. So why July? Winter vacation?
From my research in when not to go to try to avoid the BTG.............The dates when BTG are more present in Orlando are July, December and January (when school's out there), the week before Easter ("Semana Santa" holiday) and the week of October 12th ("Dia da Criança", many schools have no classes during this week). Hope this helps for future trip planning.

And February is a BIG month for Argentina Tour Groups.:)

December sees some groups, but not like July/January/February with July being GROUND ZERO!lol.:)

So you've never experience any of those things from tour groups, but you can criticize other people who have, calling them bitter and jaded. That pretty much says it all.

So sorry to hear about your experience. Of course one would expect help when contacting the hotel management, but I have found that Disney hotel management is inept and their inability to handle customer complaints trickles down to the other hotel employees.

Of course you have to try reaching out to the hotel management for help, especially when its the middle of the night. When doing so, make sure to write down the names of those you speak with and all details of the situation. When ultimately they do nothing contact the President's Office the next day during business hours while you are still at the hotel.

The more guests that complain directly to the President's Office the more likely something will change. I don't think they hear about most of the problems otherwise.

I did see some contact addresses for snail mail which is fine but while on your trip get things handled quicker with phone and email contact.

Please tell me I am hearing this wrong there money is worth more then my family's which makes sens now that I type it we are staying for two nights one park

They are staying weeks and going to multiple parks so I can see where there fun is more valued over my family getting a good night sleep
