Big Thunder Refurb

Am I the only one hoping that inside this refurb, we get individual restraints? Not looking forward to holding onto my 4 year old for dear life since he is tiny and I am... not. Or maybe like the fair we just went to? Seatbelts and lap bars?

If they do individual restraints it will limit each seat to 2 riders only. That would be problematic for someone with two younger children. Sliding all over the car is part of the fun of Big Thunder anyway.

My wife prefers the simpler restraints. She is claustrophobic and hates the overhead restraints (not like you would need that for BTMRR).

I hope they add the special effects that Disneyland has for this ride. They are simple (like a blast of fire) but fun.

Sliding around when I was little in the seat is one of my best memories of that ride. I hope they don't do this!

No, I don't want to be totally strapped down for a little coaster like big thunder.

Not with seatbelts... those can be stretched across two people... especially little ones... I'm thinking keep the seatwide lap bar, but add in individual seatbelts... they could even add in three and people use what they need...

He's not that small, just in comparison to me... he's 44 inches tall at 4 years old and more than wanting to ride the coasters. Hoping they will let my three boys ride together in the seat in front of me...

Of course Disney will do whatever they want. But I would not be happy with having three sets of seat belts in each car. I will end up sitting on one and I will find that very uncomfortable.

They are not going to add seatbelts. There has been no incident to warrant that. Can you imagine how much extra time it would take to check all the individual seatbelts AND lap bars? No.

This - that's half the fun sliding into one another and I've had the best time laughing with my daughter on this ride! =)

It's already started, the ride has been closed behind construction walls for a couple weeks if not more already..

It's currently in progress - expected to end on November 18, 2016 and re-open to guests on November 19, 2016.
