For our trip, aside from Carnation Cafe (a MUST do!) I was considering doing Big Thunder Ranch BBQ for my barbecue loving husband!

Any reviews and pics anyone can post? I would love to get some recent reviews (and food porn is always nice!).

Thanks!

I'm going to say it is ok. The ribs were fine, but I'm a rib snob and everything else was pretty darn good. It is all you can eat so that's the value, make sure you are plenty hungry.

...I was pleasantly surprised. Wait staff super attentive to top up drinks and food. Tasty and filling, beans were good...nicely surprised at the corn...I live in sweet corn country but the corn was pretty good. Nice escape from park.

We really enjoyed the food both times we've eaten there. Go hungry!

Our biggest complaint, is with the food waste. My husband asked them to please bring him one more piece of chicken and one more piece of corn bread. They brought out a basket of corn bread, and a big bowl of meat. Then, they would not give us anything to put it in to take it with us. Because its all you can eat, they've had problems with people ordering extra, then wanting it wrapped to go. I can totally understand that being an issue. That is NOT what we were doing. We were simply going to take the extra that they brought us to go. We asked for one of each, not 5-6 each.

If your DH is a serious barbecue lover, he will be disappointed. My DH smokes and grills his own ribs, makes his own beans from scratch, etc. and was disappointed. I thought it was decent but way overpriced (as is all DLR food so it's within expectations). He did say the chicken was surprisingly good given the sheer quantity of food they prepare, but we will not be doing this meal again. I'd rather do a character meal for these prices.

My family and I always enjoy this place. As often asd we go to the parks, it's a good break from quick service meals. Just get a nice chance to sit down and enjoy ourselves. Always nice when they have Woody and Jessie doing pictures with the kids as well.

We were not impressed. The cornbread is way too sweet and BBQ is mediocre. I wish there was a green salad option, but at least with lunch, there is not.

We really like BTRBBQ. We have gone 3 times and the kids love it. The food is pretty good. My DS5 LOVES the ribs! My DH doesn't like the cornbread because he doesn't like it sweet at all! We prefer this meal to a character meal. here is a pic of my son with his BBQ.

And here is one of the show:

We've gone a couple times and really like it. The food is tasty, especially the sausages with dinner, service is always great and it's a nice relaxing break from the park. It is a little chilly in the winter though since it's all outside seating.

The show is a bit cheesy, but I think that's part of their schtick. They do a cute Christmas theme for winter.

A friend of mine said that was one meal I should do! I've heard the cornbread is good if you like sweet and ribs are saucy so not for a rib afficianado. Heard chicken is good and beans are good. Corn of the cob comes with as well. Not a lot of "healthy" stuff and realize for the kids, they get what the adults get (there is no kid's food). kind of depends on your personal taste!

I'm curious. With Billy Hill perfomring back there, can you hear his show? Or do they rotate so he is offstage during the meal?

DH loves bbq in any way, shape, form. I think this may be something we could do.

More food photos would be appreciated, as well as more reviews!

Thanks everyone!!

I didn't think the food was all that, but it's a great place to do lunch with growing tweens. We did a light breakfast, lunch here and a light dinner. It worked out well as the kids stuffed themselves.

First it is important to note that corn and sausage is only served with dinner. That said, this is one of DBF's and my favorite meals in the park. We love it and yes, we love BBQ. Is it Texas BBQ? No, but it's very good! Ribs, chicken, beans, coleslaw and the corn bread. I love the coleslaw so much that I actually make it at home. :) Highly recommended! And if you leave room the cookie and cobbler desserts are amazing! :)
Staff has always been attentive, they make me an Arnold Palmer every time and keep it filled and mixed well.

I've been twice now. I really like the food in general, especially the ribs, and the corn was great. My husband loved the beans and coleslaw. However we found the cornbread was really sweet, more like cake. We also really enjoyed the setting, especially the last time as the Halloween decorations were up. We'd go there again.

We ate here before the Halloween party and that really helped. My group preferred the chicken over the ribs. I make the cole slaw at home too. We ate here once before this time when it was a character meal.

Had dinner there in May and we thought it was very good. We are planning another trip late November. I don't know if we can pass up BTRB. Sure it's not going to win any cook-off awards but for DL it is good food.

This is one of our must do's. With an AP discount its a good value when compared to other Disney venues. The ribs, chicken and sausage are very good.

The baked chocolate chip cookie pie with ice cream is excellent!!

CM told me that AP'ers do not have to eat dinner if all they want is dessert. Non-AP'ers must pay for dinner.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE RIBS.

Are the ribs smoked or just baked/grilled?

Is the BBQ sauce super sweet? I hate super sweet sauce that makes you feel like you're eating candied ribs.

Thanks!
