Big River Grille and Brewing Works

We were surprised to find that you could not make a PS ressie at this restaurant. Disney Dine couldn't make it for us. We're determined to dine here because we enjoy places like this that have micro brewerys and serve pub grub around home.

Does anyone know what time this restaurant opens? We're planing on going here around 4 in the afternoon for a light dinner. Do you think that there will be much of a wait at that hour?

Thank you in advance for the information. Three more weeks and we will be there!

I don't think that time would be a problem. They open at lunch time. We stayed at BWV last week and at 6:00 Thursday, some of our group went down there for dinner (7 people) and it was only a 20 minute wait.

It probably opens around 11:00-11:30 for lunch. We've never had a problem walking in mid-afternoon. Their burgers are great!

We ate there two weeks ago. They are not Disney owned........the reservation guy........told people Disney liquor can't come in and their liquor cant go out because they are not Disney owned.

Unless things have changed, don't plan on charging your meal to your room since they are not Disney owned.

That time should be just fine. I can recommend the meatloaf, the burgers, and beer-wise, the Wowzer's Wheat.

Out of the ohhh 50 times we've gone to the brewery, I don't remember ever having to wait for a table. We always request a window table (rather than the high tables) or we just go sit at the bar where we also drink and eat. Definitely try the burgers and the wowzers wheat. As a forewarning, there are no fries...only chips. Also, ask if the brewmaster is around and maybe you'll be lucky enough to get a tour.

4:00 in the afternoon won't be a problem at all. The Boardwalk is still pretty quiet at that time. If it's not too bloody hot, sitting outside is a great way to pass the afternoon.

I'm pretty sure I've charged to my room there. I've also charged to my room at Rainforest Cafe & Plant Hollywood, also non-Disney owned.

They charge a small fee for the sample. Does Big River Grille offer samples? I'm getting thirsty writing this!!

I don't think (am not sure) that they offer the type of sampler you describe.
We also were allowed to charge our dinner here to our room.

In fact they do have a "sampler" offering. Probably like a 4-6 oz glass of each current brew they place on a mat that identifies the brew and some facts about each. Enjoy!

p.s. the wowzer's wheat is great! if you get either big joe or dan, ask them to cut you a lemon and orange and do their little trick...you'll get so many amazing flavors out of it.

You guys are the greatest! The picture looks soooooo good I could almost smell and taste it though the monitor. Most of the pictures you see of food and drink on the boards don't do the presentation justice. The sampler photo just froze me. I'm really looking forward to getting there.
