Has anyone been to Big River Grille and Brewing Works? We want to check out the Boardwalk this year and were looking at the restaurants there.

I've never heard of Big River Grille and Brewing Works until today so was wondering if anyone could share their experience there? Thanks!

We go to the BRG, every trip!
It's a favorite, for us. The food is pretty good (pub food) and service is great.
The tables inside are very close together, so if it's a nice day/night, ask to be seated outside.
There is a menu on www.allears.net

Lunch, is usually a Burger, Meatloaf sandwich or the Turkey sandwich (it's roasted turkey, not the deli stuff).

Dinner, is usually the Chicken Alfredo, New York Strip Steak, or the Mahi-Mahi.

They have great appts. TOO! The Chicken Nachos are soooo yummy!

Give BRG a try, you won't be sorry!

I've eaten there twice. Worst food I ever ate. :sad2:

We tried this place several times and after numerous failures haven't bothered to go back. You may want to read the dining reviews here when trying to decide.

We love spending time at the boardwalk, we were married there! Everyone has their opinion....ours is that we really like Big River Grille.

We ate there on Dec 6th and it was really good. I got the Chicken Alfredo and DH got the meatloaf and we both really enjoyed our food. He felt it wasn't salty enough for him but he over salts everything in my opinion so you can make that decision for yourself. He tried 2 of their house beers and liked both of them. We would go back and the board walk is fun to stroll along after dinner.

We ate there on our last trip for the first time. It was good. We would eat there again. The Boardwalk location is fantastic and the service was great.

Give it a try!

They have great drinks....lol. It is more about the location I guess we were 0 out of 3 on our 3 trips with the food, but the drinks were spot on.

We ate there twice during our visit (12/12 - 12/19). Would definately go back again. Had chicken nachos one time and chicken sandwiches the other time. Both were good. Enjoyed the pale ale. Have to agree with the excellent service, though both times we went, the restaurant wasn't too busy.

We expected nothing from BRG, and were pleasantly surprised. I had soup and salad, and my husband had a burger. Everything was fresh, well made and tasty. Service was fine and eating on the Boardwalk is a treat. The beers are fantastic as well!

Big River Grill is what it's name says it is.. A Bar and Grill type resturant.
If you like that kind of food I think you'll enjoy it...if you expect some high end meal..you'lll be disapointed.
I liked the steak..thought the cheesecake was fantastic.
We'll go back.

I've done lunch there twice and it was good both times. We all enjoyed our food. Prices are reasonable too if paying OOP.

We got every time, sometimes twice ( we stay a BCV typically ). We love it, we love the food, the beer, and if it's nice, sitting outside right on the Boardwalk. Awesome place.

The menu is nothing special, but I haven't had a bad meal there yet. I'm a big fan of a good beer, and they have tasty, cold brews, sometimes nice seasonal editions, too.

It's pretty much standard pub fare, the only twist being that they try to give you fresh and quality ingredients whenever possible. Oh, and no french fries! If that's a deal breaker for you, then you should stay away.

I'll echo the sentiments of a couple others before me and say that, if it's a nice day, the patio seating is a great place to have a sandwich and a drink and people watch on the Boardwalk.

We ate there a few weeks ago. It was ok but not something I would call real good. Our kids hated what they had off the kids menu. The lemonaide was very sour and the kids hated it too. I doubt we will be going back.

stick with the burgers.

Outside is better than in, if the weather is accomodating.

If you are looking for a meal on the Boardwalk, the other restaurants are better. Don't forget Beaches & Cream at Beach Club. Or Cape May or Yacht Club steak place.

We ate here in September for dinner and I would say double yuck! THe place had a funny moldy smell too, maybe the brewing I guess I don't know:confused3
I felt like I was in a run down diner.

DW & I eat here every trip (own at BWV), the ribs are great, the beer sampler is awesome, and sitting on the boardwalk and people watching is fantastic way to start a vacation.

I go for lunch at leats once every trip. The food is decent, the beers are quite good, and if you can get a an outside table on a nice day, it is a very relaxing, enjoyable meal.
