BIG Menu Updates! See Which Disney World Theme Park Restaurants Have Cut WAY BACK! By Janelle Sheetz - July 2, 2020

I wonder how much this might be true when the parks initially open?

I see several items I usually like.

I know this may be a rumor or if true will hopefully be over by my trip in December.

But who knows with all the SARS-COVID-2 changes recently.

Here are a few menus.

Disney World Theme Parks
Magic Kingdom

Tony’s Town Square Restaurant
First up, Town’s Town Square Restaurant — one of the very first restaurants we’ll see as soon as we step foot inside the Magic Kingdom for the first time since mid-March!

We hate to see all these awesome appetizers, entrées, and desserts go, but at least we’ll have lots of other flavors to enjoy at a Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival which starts July 15th.

Youre saying this is the menu the way it used to be, right? Because first you say pancakes are gone and then the first 4 items on the list are pancakes.

Hi, Trolan.

The food blog says no.

The food court at Disney’s Pop Century Resort has scaled back a bit.

The lists are foods that might be removed from the menus.

They’ve subtracted quite a few appetizers, entrées, and desserts from their menu!

I expect to see significant decreases in the menus until the parks start to return more to normal amounts of people in the parks. They have to keep costs under control and this is one way of doing that. I just hope that things and restaurants return to "normal" by the time we arrive in October. Not sure that will happen.

The Peter Pan Float cut hurts... I was really looking forward to that one, but I understand that it probably wasn't super popular.

Not on her list, but when did they get rid of the pot roast at the Garden Grill? That was so good!

I'm so confused. Why are they doing this? It's like they removed the most popular items. I said to my sister this might be the first Disney trip I come home not gaining weight! I might even lose a few pounds with Les Halles & Kringla not being open!

I noticed the pared down menus, especially in Magic Kingdom. The remaining options are pretty boring and it makes me think they’re starting out with dishes they can easily make with ingredients from their “food service” type suppliers. I’m hoping once the restaurants are up and running, the chefs will be able to gradually add dishes back. That’s what restaurants in my local area have been doing anyway. We shall see...

We are really disappointed by the menus but hoping they expand them a bit by our trip. It has pretty much been a situation of well at least we can get the noodle salad at skipper canteen. Oops nope. Well we can get the Fanta melon frosty soda there. Oops nope! Well we can eat lunch at liberty tree. Oops they don’t have the pasta dish. Well we like a couple of the lunch items. Oops nope no a la carte anymore. Pretty much this situation at every park. Then the kid said “at least I can get tie dye cheesecake at Pop”. Well I looked at the menu yesterday and nope. No cheesecake at all at pop. Such a bummer.

What?!? That's like their signature item!!! It's like Aloha Isle opening without Dole Whip Floats 😭.

You sound just like me! I keep saying to my family, well, at least we have this and then, nope!

yep I didn’t even think I had to look because I assumed they would have it.Since it was listed on their menu before I decided I better check because after many restaurants that we like were listed as closed and then many menu items were not available the kid kept saying“as long as they have my tie dye cheesecake I will be fine”. Hopefully they get it again before we go. I swear it is why she loves Pop so much lol
