Big Kids/Kids Menu

Does anyone know if WDW will allow a young teen to order from a kids menu at an increased price? My son doesn't eat anything except pizza, burgers or nuggets at a restaurant, which is very limiting.

We were just there in July and my DS 13 is sometimes a big eater and sometimes not. He always asked for both menus before we were seated and he was allowed to order from whichever he preferred. I was not charged extra.
