BIG hair?

With my 15 year reunion coming up, some old friends and I were going through some old pictures from highschool. God my hair was so embarrassing! It was huge. I used SO much hairspray everydayAqua Net aerosol (of course) Extra Super Hold in the pink can! I teased and picked and fluffed my do and then sprayed it until it was this massive poofed out helmet! It was literally hard as a rock! I wore so much makeup....I wouldn't be seen without my trademark "neon pink" lipstick.

I'm looking forward to seeing all my old classmates, but I know everyone is gonna bring up my hair! Oh well! Can anyone explain why we did this? Why was this hairstyle so popular? Big hair has got to be the most embarrasing hairstyle in history.

Did anyone else have hair like this? Have you "lost" all of those pictures too

Yep, I had huge hair! I went through lots and lots of Aussie Sprunch Spray. My mom still has the pics though.

Oh, yes! I would curl my bangs with a curling iron and then use a comb (or pick) to "fluff" out the singed mess. Then came the hairspray. The look wouldn't be complete without a beret. Ah, the '80s.

Wish I had a picture, but I was "too cool" for the yearbook picture in 9th grade.

I had huge hair in the 80s. I also did the poof with the curling iron and pick. I also had the hairspray out wings. I look at old pics of me and just laugh!

I did the huge bangs thing in the early '90s...big bangs, straight hair. I think I only did it because everyone else did...but why did everyone else do it??

I'm looking for a hairdresser, desperate I walk into a JC Penney's salon.
I wait & wait, oh, yeah & I wait...
I explain what I want: shampoo, cut, blow dry. Please follow the shape.
Result: BIG HAIR! HELMET HEAD!
I had her 'tame' it down twice, then I finally combed it down right there & then in the salon at her station!

I must've still looked scary, DH & DSthen10 were looking real strange at me & were silent as the tomb!

Crap! I could've gone on tour as a 60's girls' group! and not the one on the far right!

Jersey, big, 80s, teased, aqua netted hair here!!! I wore a ton of makeup too...purple lipstick, black black black eyeliner! I still tend to like a little height on my head...in style though!!!
