Looking at that eye in tomorrowland reminded me of that famous book by George Orwell called "1984". Are they trying to tell us, or should I say, remind us that they can see everything that goes on in this virtual world? lol. Does this new eye signify a kind of "government" in vmk. lol Such a government found in "1984"? lol. It would sort of make sense considering we don't have freedom of speech (us dictionary dancers would understand that pretty well rofl) From that we form our own kind of language lol (ex: Newspeak). We can't be "out" after hours lol. We really can't say anything directly "flaming" staff on vmk without the fear of being banned lol (ex: Thoughtcrime). (Not that I want to!! I am just making another point lol) They convince the people who didn't know of Disney before, that Disney is the best place on Earth. (ex:2+2=5). After naming a few similarities and its connection to the book, does this allow us for "two minutes of hate" towards that eye? lol

I think you're reading too much into it. 1984 is my FAVORITE book, but I honestly think that all of the connections you're presenting are...well honestly you're comparing 1984 to DISNEY?!

Or is it a joke?

It was just an observation lol. I kind of meant it in a "joke" sort of way. lol However, I was not comparing 1984 to Disney! I would never! LOL I was comparing it to vmk which is run by Disney but technically not Disney rofl. (confusing lol)

Don't you think it sounds sort of similar!? LOL

Hi,
I knew it was in a joke way but i thought the same thing when i first saw it. Funny but creepy like a web cam and i play at night in my pjs hope they don't see me :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Haha! Very clever, very true. ;) Yeah that eye is kinda scary! Big Brother is watching us... aaahhh! Run for your liiiives! :p

Hah, a clever observation, but actually the giant eye is from the Adventure Thru Inner Space attraction that used to be where Star Tours is now in Disneyland. I never got a chance to ride it myself, but it had to do with shrinking you into tiny size and somewhere in the ride there was a giant eye staring at you like you were being observed through a microscope or something.

So that is what that thing is... :p lol. Well I find it compares rather well to "1984" lol, despite its true purpose lol. I mean, it's even in tomorrowland! LOL and "1984" is a book written about the future! I don't know, maybe it's just me... lol.
