I should have done this a long time ago. We were just talking about our trip and it reminded me.

Let me start by saying it was Dh(40) DD (6) DS (2) and myself (3?)

We were sat at a table for 6. I settled both kids next to the railing so they had a good view of the stage. The hostess then sat a couple on their honeymoon. They were FABULOUS!!! They were actually happy to be sitting with little ones! They were so kind and friendly. We laughed and talked and discussed trips we had all taken and where we were from. They even shared their complimentary cake that the restaurant sent to the table.

The food was very kid friendly, even without the kids buffet. The chicken Spaetzel (sp?) and Schnitzel (Sp) was awesome!!! The pork was so good and my DD couldn't get enough. I would love to know how they make that. My DD loved the chicken soup and of course the apple struedel was the best! We were all very happy with the meal. I also want to add that the servers were very friendly and the show kept my DS glued to his chair. If you have a 2 year old boy you know how rare that is. He is very well behaved but still wiggles. He was just so still that I had to pop bites of chicken in his mouth now and then! :rotfl2:

We will return!!!

Thanks. :) I will be eating there for the first time in about 4 weeks. Can't wait.

I agree with you 100%! We ate there on our trip in December and the kids loved it! At first they weren't too sure of the food but my 11yoSS went back for thirds! If not 4ths on a lot of things! Our 6yo went back several times for things and we're just lucky the 3yo found something to eat that wasn't chicken nuggets!

Dh used to live in Germany so this was a Must for us to do and I was very glad we got to do it. Our 6yo even went down for the little show they did, and she had a ball!

We were seated with a family from Germany, or at least visiting family <one of the other ladies at the table> and it was neat talking to them because we're hoping to go visit Germany in the summer!

We highly recommend Biergarten!

thanks for the review...my DH wants to eat here. I am less than thrilled with the menu but think my princesses will like the entertainment. I am willing to give it a shot though!

Thanks for the review - we are going in March with my 2yr old Great-Nephew. Hope he is as entertained as your son.

I think you will be surprised with the meny. I was. I am not into sausage and red meats. This menu was not like that. I did like the pork and I was surprised but that chicken was out of this world!!

And this is just the place for a 2 year old, full of activity, not a quiet place (good for when the 2 year old yells and claps at the musicians) and entertainment!

We (DH,me,DS-18 and DD-16) have made Biergarten a MUST for every trip. We love the food and the entertaining atmosphere. It was really the first place the kids began to try new food many years ago...I guess even Disney can get a 7y/o to try wienerschnitzel when they don't even know what it is!! Kudos to Biergarten...I have another ressie for 4 already set for the last week of June. :cool1: :cheer2:  :woohoo:

we ate there last friday and we LOVED it!! it was so much fun and the food was great. there was much more variety then i thought there would be. the rotisserie chicken was my oldest daughters favorite, and all 3 loved the pretzel bread. we will be returning as well!!

Sounds wonderful ~ Thanx for sharing.

This is my DH's favorite restaurant at Disney. Each year for whatever reason, I try to talk him out of it and then once we are there, I am always pleasantly surprised by how good the food is. The atmosphere is a plus.
As for the way they seat everyone, it isn't that we are unsocialable but we usually do this meal alone since the kids don't want to go there and this is our time to chat so we usually ask to sit by ourselves much to the disappointment of the hostess.

I forgot how much we like it there. We will have to put it on our must do list for October. I think DS4 and DS15 months will love it too. :cloud9:

excellent to hear! We made an adr for our next rip and I'm looking forward to it even more after reading this. :cool1:

We went by accident with my true blue Germany parents, I am first generation. Braced ourselves for the usually poor attempt and really were surprised! The kids loved it! There are some cold salads there that come pretty close to the real thing.

The draw back is the seating. We have only had one problem when the entire place was empty and they sat another couple at our table.. They had a meltdown over it.

There was a Diser who had a really NASTY experience with their table mates.....

We went in Dec and we loved it. Our oldest DS is 5 and sometimes shy he surprized us by being on the dance floor the whole time. He would come back to the table and eat then run back. A must do on future trips.

Last night my dd 6 said she really didn't care about princesses anymore :confused3 so I'm rethinking the Storybook dinner and trying Biergarten instead. This was very helpful! I think DDs 6 & 8 will love the entertainment.
