Biergarten or Garden Grill?

For one of our Epcot days (which is prioritizing Guardians, in case that’s helpful), which sounds better for either lunch or dinner? Two boys, 7 and almost 10. We did Space 220 lounge on our first trip and looking for something new (although I did like it a lot).

Thanks!!

I personally have never had an enjoyable meal at the Biergarten (just not my style or type of food) and currently there is a post about someone getting sick there…… i enjoy the garden grill and if they are not open for lunch seasons also in the land is a favorite of mine for lunch….

Two very different meals and experiences. You know your kids best. Do they want character interactions? The food at GG is pretty decent. Nothing to write home about. But lots of character interactions and the rotating aspect gives you something to always look at. I personally love Biergarten but I also love the food they serve and the atmosphere with the oompah band. I personally don't think you can go wrong either way and I'd rather do both of them over Space 220.

If atmosphere is more important, I'd choose Biergarten. Not a fan of German cuisine but the food is serviceable. Garden Grill food is better (IMO) but not by much. For me Biergarten wins by small margin.

Normally I'm an anything in world showcase kind of gal but I don't know how picky your kids are. Mine loved different things even when he was young and didn't need characters when eating so we were good with anywhere. If they into characters and plain old fashioned American food, garden grill. If they like to experiment and want entertainment, Germany. There is always the option of leaving epcot and going to beaches and cream.

Garden Grill is one of my favorite places because it's very low key for character dining. Due to how the booths are configured on the lower level, you don't even notice other people in the restaurant. It's a nice refuge from the hubbub and the character interaction is some of the best I've ever had. I think Pluto was playing peekaboo.

Biergarten was exceptional for dinner December 14th. My kids (15-21) favorite place. My 21 year old daughter never yelled oye oye oye so loud on the 1st Prost. This was her first trip being able to drink at Disney.

I just want to point out in case OP didn’t see the other thread…there’s no proof anyone got sick there.

OP…both places are good, but very different. Kind of depends on what you’re looking for. GG is an AYCTE family style American fare meal with characters and Biergarten is a German buffet without characters. Maybe ask your kids what their preference would be and go from there?

I’d choose garden grill the food was delicious when we ate there a few weeks ago and the character interactions were great. Especially Chip and Dale they were so playful

Thanks all! I like the idea of both but may go for GG, at least first, since I do have a soft spot for chip and dale! And it sounds like the food at both is decent
