I have read in several different threads by current cast members where they have used the term they had to "bid" or something like that for a certain area and was wondering if someone could enlighten me as to what this means exactly.
Thanks

If it works like it would in a union shop whoever is interested signs a interest list and according to their seniority date or date of employment the one with the oldest date would be awarded the job, not sure that's how DW does it but I hope that helps some.

It's how they pick their schedules. Very seniority based. It'd be tough to explain as every area does it a little differently. You may refer to "this is my bid" and mean a couple different things in context. Some areas have more than one location to work - I may be trained at pirates and jungle and mansion, but might hate the jungle so I bid 1 pirates 2 mansion 3 jungle. I may hate working mornings so I bid closing. My bid may be weekends off.

Essentially it means the semi regular schedule that a ft and pt cm may be assigned to. I'm greatly oversimplifying but that's the gist.

OK thanks. I have never dealt with any type of union so I just did not realize how this worked.
