Bicycle rental & distance from cabin to boat

Hi all - I have stayed at FW one time several years ago and had a great trip. We stayed in a camper very near the boat dock so we just walked whenever we went anywhere. For our trip after this upcoming trip (just planning a little ahead ), it looks like at least some in our party will be staying at one of the cabins. Some others will be staying in a trailer, hopefully near the dock.

Having said all that, my questions for all of you wonderful people are:

1. Does anyone know of any places (on or off property, especially if the off property would deliver) that rent bicycles for up to a week, including kid bikes?

2. Are the cabins, which I unerstand are in the loops further away from the dock, close enough to ride bikes to and from the boat? We are all in good shape but will have some kids (age 5 and up).

Bikes can be rented at the bike barn by the day or the hour .I am not sure of the price. You can also take an internal bus to the boat dock.

Thanks, Pooh. I'm still wondering whether anyone knows whether it's too far to reasonably ride bikes to the dock - we'd rather do that than ride a bus if possible.

It is about 1/2 a mile from the Meadows store to the boat dock. From the Outpost where you check in to the boat dock is a little over a mile.I walk from the cabins in site loop 2500 to 2100 to the boat dock so I'm sure it will be a easy bike ride even for the 5 year old. There are paths that are off the roads all the way. You will also find bike racks at both the Outpost and the Settlement ( boat dock ).have a great trip.
