Bibbiti Bobbiti Make A Wish Helps our Boo Have Her Princess Wishes Come True!!!

Great start!! We have never flown Delta airlines, so it good to know how they were.

So after our cockpit adventure with the newest Delta Pilot and Co-Pilot we were off to find our GKTW greater. We found our way to the airport tram and found our greater Claire.

Here is Chelsea with Claire and her welcome sign.

She was so lovely and it was so nice how she just helped us right through the airport and to the rental car company. Our car was rented through Avis and they were really nice. They had car seats for the kids, very new and clean and an almost new car for us. We headed out of the airport and followed the directions given to us on the Welcome sign and soon we arrived...It was pretty exciting pulling up to the gates of GKTW and walking into the House of Hearts. It really hit me then that this was real...Chelsea’s wish was coming true. I took a moment, the first of many, shed a few tears and I was thankful to be with my husband and both our kids celebrating life, family and princesses.

Here the loves of my life are walking towards the House of Hearts.

Alex welcomed us to GKTW and gave Chelsea a Mickey and Fuller a Shamu. The kids loved their new friends and they would be the first of about 20 stuffed animals that would join our family during this trip.

Alex went over some brief information and then loaded the kids and Christopher in a golf cart with him to go to our villa (soon after arriving the kids started calling it our "Vacation Home":)). Here is a silly picture he took of us in the villa...I think at this point we were all pretty tired and silly.

Our "vacation home" for the week was Villa 289. We were a block away from the Gingerbread House, Carousel, the Pool...it was really a perfect location for us. It was not until much later in our that I realized how big GKTW was and how nice it was to be so close to most everything.

Here the kids are with our Villa sign. We were home for the week:cool1:.

It turns out I could have made it to the 7:30PM orientation (we actually got to GKTW earlier then I thought we would, Claire did such a nice job of getting us through the airport and on our way) but honestly I was hungry and did not want to miss the kids initial reaction to everything at GKTW so I just asked if I could go in the morning like I had originally planned and they very nicely said yes (everyone at GKTW was so helpful, flexible and lovely the entire time we were there:)). So off to explore we went and like I said everything was so close by so it was easy to do.

Our first stop was dinner at the Gingerbread house. I had read some mixed reviews and my kids are pretty picky eaters so I was a bit worried but the food was really good and the people there were so amazing. The kids loved it that they always got to pick where we sat for meals there. The volunteers never let your drink get empty and were happy to help you get any seconds. It was so dreamy and relaxing for this mama who normally fixes and serves every meal.:)

Then we rode the carousel about 10 times in a row...the kids wanted to try out every animal so that is exactly what we did!

We quickly explored the castle and I could tell we were all starting to fade but we had to make one last stop...ICE CREAM!

We had our first of what would become our nighttime ritual on the trip...ice cream before bed! What a great way to end everyday:lmao:.

We had a really fun evening and the kids fell in love with everything at the village. I am so glad I decided to skip the evening orientation, take it easy and enjoy that night with my family. This relaxed taking it easy pace continued throughout the trip and I am so glad it did as we all really had a chance to share so many magical moments as a family.

We decided to call it a day and get a good nights sleep we had a busy day planned for tomorrow.

Up next...will the kids ever want leave GKTW and will we ever get to Universal Studios?

Good timing, I am first again! :cool1: So happy you've started! I love the pictures, especially the cockpit one. Can't wait for more :goodvibes

The trip to the cockpit was really a nice surprise and the kids loved it. Just posted a bit more;).

I made it!!!

I love your picture with Mickey and Minnie! We totally forgot to bring Em's Mickey with us to get signed, your pic reminded me!

Sounds like your kiddos did great on the plane ride, I hope you make it in time for orientation!!!

Hi!!! Mickey and Minnie were so great at GKTW...they spent so much time with each family. It was Christopher reading over the plan for the day that reminded me to bring the mickey otherwise I am pretty sure I would have forgotten. See new post to find out about orientation:). I am loving following along with Emily's TR.

Brenda

Hi Brenda, nice to "see" you on here! I was just finishing some photo editing from our meeting at MK. Loved having the chance to meet up. Hope you are doing great!

WooHoo for the newest Delta pilots

It was so fun...We built them a plane from some big boxes when we got home and they used the pictures from the trip to draw all the equipment in their cockpit. They fly daily now! I love how life experiences can spur the imagination.

Signing on and looking forward to more!:goodvibes

Thanks so much...new post today and more to come soon!

Excited to follow along!!

Thanks...I look forward to putting the TR together!

what a great first night at GKTW!!! 10 times on the carousel must of been a blast and ice cream before bedtime, bet you made some major mama points!!

so happy to hear you enjoyed having your break from the cooking and serving ...I'm looking forward to that too...

too cute that the kids have created their own plane, what great imaginations they have!

I am in awe of your ability to keep up and thank everyone in the Big Give!

Great job on the TR so far! :)

:goodvibes

I love that you are just going with the flow and letting the trip be about what the kids want!

Love your first night :cloud9:
That was my favorite part just relaxing with the kids instead of trying to run run run

The kids were pretty excited and woke us up around 7:30 ready to start the day. It looked like a pretty nice day outside and we were excited to be waking up in Florida. We all got ready and headed to breakfast at the Gingerbread house. Fuller and Chelsea were happy to have eggs and bacon and I was happy to have a strawberry waffle. We all ate a great breakfast and had a nice chat with a volunteer passing out Disney “I’m Celebrating” pins. After breakfast I made my way to orientation and Christopher and the kids did some exploring of GKTW in the daylight. There was some carousel riding and then walking around to see what they could find.

The kids loved all the larger then life food that decorates the village. They may have even tried to take a bite:scared1:.

The talking trash cans that sucked up paper were also a big hit with the kids. Throughout the entire trip we always carried extra pieces of paper so when we walked by them we could “feed” them. They were always whispering to you "I love paper". It was pretty funny however because after they put the trash in and it gets sucked up they always ran away screaming.

DSC_0085.jpg

On their way over to the horses they stopped by to say hi to Ol'Elmer the sleeping and snoring tree...the kids kept hoping he would wake up anytime we walked by but he never woke up during our stay:rotfl:.

DSC_0089.jpg

The 9 AM orientation was nice and lasted about an hour...there was not really anything the wonderful people on the DIS had not given me a heads up about so I left feeling pretty good about the plans we had. I made a few arrangements at the front desk and was off to find my family.

I met up with Christopher and the kids over at Keaton’s Corral for some horseback riding. The kids have only really had a chance to ride ponies at the county fair so these horses were a bit big to them. I got there right as Chelsea was about to get on her horse Chance for her turn at horseback riding. I think she was a bit nervous at first but there were volunteers right there with her so she really ended up enjoying the horse ride and talked about it tons after.

Chelsea riding on Chance...our little cowgirl.

Next was Fuller’s turn on his horse Jo Jo. I was amazed at how comfortable he looked on the horse and he really enjoyed it too. My cousin has some horses and he is always asking her now to go for a ride...now that he knows how to do it and all.;) Here is our sweet Cowboy!

DSC_0125.jpg

They might have been most excited however to get cowboy hats and certificates after the ride.

DSC_0155.jpg

We took our cowboy and cowgirl back to get changed so we could head out around 10:45 AM for our first park Universal Studios. Honestly the kids were not so sure they wanted to leave GKTW but we told them it would be fun so let's go!

Coming Soon---How to instantly get your kids to fall in love with Universal Studios.

I think I did get some major mama points because we just had so much fun eating Ice Cream every night and they still talk about it here at home. It was just such a great time for our family...such a blessing.

I posted on your PTR but I know you leave soon and I hope your trip is amazing. You have planned a really magical time for you and Megan...big mama points for you too!:goodvibes

:goodvibes

Thanks so much Mary...I am really enjoying the TR process and it is a great excuse to make sure all the pictures we took are edited and organized. I also really want to let all the Big Givers know how much we appreciated everything they did for us...it made the trip so extra special. Thanks for stopping by.

I love that you are just going with the flow and letting the trip be about what the kids want!

My husband and I decided early on this trip was all about the kids...it turned out to be a great choice as we all had such an amazing time.

Love your first night :cloud9:
That was my favorite part just relaxing with the kids instead of trying to run run run

It was just so nice to move at Fuller and Chelsea's pace. There was not any run, run, run in this trip which we all just loved. Thanks again for reading.

I will probaby have to wait and see more updates after we get home from our trip...we leave in TWO DAYS!!! so I will check in after we get home and then get to start my TR!!
