Has anyone recently done the BBB makeover? It's something I've always wanted to do for my two daughters but looking at the price, I'm not sure if I can justify it. We'd be doing the smallest Carriage package for $99 for each of them. I've read some reviews but most were older and pre-covid and the very few I've read since they've reopened were hit or miss. My girls are 8 and 10 now. We had it booked Spring 2020 but we all known what happened then... so here I am 3 yrs later considering it again! If anyone has experienced it recently and wouldn't mind sharing, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

My daughter (11) did it on Saturday, and did the package with a dress. It was her third time, and the experience was just as nice as in the past. They spent a lot of time making her feel special and making her hair look beautiful (which lasted through the next day).

This is great to hear! Thank you so much!
She looks beautiful, too! :)

Our niece did it last weekend as well and loved it! She enjoyed getting her hair and makeup done and after walking through the park/taking pictures in front of the castle feeling like a princess.

My DD8, DD7 and niece(5) did it end of January. The girls loved it! I'm glad they got to do it once but we won't be doing it again. We did, I think, the Castle package, whatever the lowest tier that included a dress was. It was cute but... I felt a little underwhelmed, I guess, overall.

Two of my daughters are the same ages as yours and did it in December with the same package you're talking about, and it was a big highlight of the trip for both of them.

They actually liked getting the t-shirt in the lower package more than the dresses at their ages because they're less into dress-up as they used to be and wanted something practical they could wear to school. They both found it to be a magical, unique experience and loved that they got to bring home the brushes, bows, and extras that the cast members used on them.

ok, great! Thank you everyone for your replies :) It sounds like it's a pretty awesome experience, so we are going to go ahead and splurge and surprise them on our April trip!

My two kids have done it, last November at Disneyland. Previous my eldest has done it also at WDW.
At WDW I did the $99 package and bought my own dress.
At DL I did the $199 package and got the dress and accessories.
Hands down doing the $199 package was better, I know it's expensive but my kids adored picking the dress while we were there. It really did add to the experience.

They were literally treated like royalty all day. I recommend you get an early reservation as possible to maximise your day.
A CM even gave us reserved parade seating because she didn't think that the Princess' should sit on the ground, it was a real pixie dust moment for sure.
The photo package they do is really great too, top quality photos, but be prepared to wait around 30mins for those as they can take a while.

We’ll likely be booking this for our two daughters on our May trip. Am I correct in understanding that we don’t pick the actual package until we get there? It doesn’t require us to choose the specific package when making the reservation, right?

That is correct. At the time of booking a reservation they just ask how many are participating and their names. When you arrive you select your package :)

My Miss 7 did it on her birthday we did the castle package with dress and the photos in it afterwards .

She really enjoyed it and was so excited when she got to have nail polish applied by the fairy godmother.

I agree get an early reservation so you can make the most of the day dressed as a princess. We booked for after our later breakfast/early lunch.
