Im having a hard time finding current info here on BBB. We are going in September and BBB never crossed my mind at the 180 day mark, as DD was never old enough to go! So I dropped the ball. Ive called every day for 4 weeks so far and NOTHING in the magic kingdom except for a 5:30 one night. I have some questions!

1. Any tips on getting a reservation within the next 30 days? How many times a day should I call?
2. How long should I expect the BBB should be? How long does the hair/makeup take?
3. Does anyone have a photo of the hairstyles offered and are all the hairstyles the same price? (only planning to do the hair/makeup/nails for this trip).
4. Are "later" reservations a waste? I mean like after 5pm?
5. How long do the hairstyles stay put? Does it last overnight lol? I see they use a LOT of gel lol.
5. Any other experiences/tips for a BBB first timer or last minute success stories? Thanks!!

If you didn't already, grab that 5:30 asap! We always do late appointments followed by a princess dinner. It is definitely not a "waste." It's very magical to be dressed like a princess in the park for the parade and fireworks and such. If it's a must do experience for your daughter book it!
Yes, the hairstyles can last a few days if you want them to.

1. Just call anytime you have the time.
2. About an hour, maybe 90 min if there is a wait/back up
3. All are the same price
4. No. The hair will last till you want it out (days!) so even later in the day is good. Can be really good if you plan to swim that day, you'll have the swim done and be ready for the hairstyle
5. See 4

These are pretty much the current styles. The Pop Princess is slightly different (or was in April this year at least). It doesn't have the poof part, just the twists with the colors added
The other 2 are the same for sure

We have a 4pm appointment for our September trip. That was the time I really wanted it! We will be in MK in the morning and then go back to the hotel after lunch to rest. We are coming back for the Halloween party and they will get made over and put on their costumes! I thought about doing it earlier, but it will be hot and they will look like a hot mess by the time the party rolls around!

My 4 year olds lasted 4 days/3 nights with some hair spray touch up a couple times a day. We did not swim though because it was December and chilly.

As many times as you can. It is all about luck and being the person who happens to be the first to call right after a cancellation. Payment for trip packages now must be made at 30 days out (used to be 45) so in the days right around that time period there might be some cancellations. If you don't get in, at least walk by as early as you can to check to see if they are taking any walk-ups. Make no promises to your DD, if you can, don't even let her in the door to see it when you check. I have seen them take walk ups before, but that would be a long shot.

Depends on how backed up they are and what hairstyle you choose. Some hairstyles take longer than others. We have been brought right back at her time, and we have had to sit and wait for a long period past our time. We did it several times with DD, it has taken as little as 30 minutes and as long as an hour and half- that is not counting going for a photo shoot after.

Someone else posted.

It is a really fun experience for the kids. If you are going for the experience, then no. If you are going for a day of photos in the hairstyle, seeing characters, etc, then it is hard to say. DD would not go to bed until the hair was down and all of the gunk washed out. No way she was going to leave it in overnight. Her first time, she was 3 and we got the Princess bun- it was really tight and hurt her head (she was sensitive about that back then) and she was begging me to take it down less than 2 hours after we left BBB. I finally wound up taking it down in the middle of the park in the afternoon- and her hair combed out surprisingly well even with all that gel in itl.

Most would last over night, if your DD wanted to leave it in. A lot of girls do. It depends a little on the Fairy Godmother in Training you get. I can't remember which style it was, but we had one that did start to fall out some at the park that evening (we always did BBB around 10:00 am).

It is a very fun experience for the girls. Just call as much as you can, and if you can't get in try for a walk up. Try not to stress, if you don't get to do it, WDW is plenty fun without it. Plus, the hairstyles are kind of awful, anyway!

If you can't get in BBB and it appeals to you, consider Pirates League. That is typically easy to get in same day. We called about 10:00 in the morning a couple weeks ago and got in at 1:00. They have a cute Mermaid Makeover (that of course, DGD didn't want anything to do with, she did the Empress again)

thank you all so so much for your responses! It really made me excited for this "later" time that I got... we planned on spending the day in the pool before heading to MK for dinner!! Im absolutely going to keep this and not even call for more times!! Thanks again to everyone! I am so excited!!
