I want to schedule an appointment for my DD's at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I have one who will be turning 10 while in Disney and one who will be 2 years and 9 months when we travel in September. It says 3 and up and I was wondering how strict they are to the age limit. I know she would be the one to really enjoy it. I think my older daughter would like it since she wanted to do it in March, but I am thinking she is probably on the verge of being too old. My 2 year old LOVES to have her hair, make up (kids of course and only in the house :)) and nails done. We will be going again in March when she will be 3, but I really want to do it this time. Thanks in advance for the help.

I was in the same predicament...I had a 2.5, 3.5 and 9 yr old and wanted to do BBB. When I called and they asked the ages I told them the truth...and they did say they would not take the 2 yr old. I said that I didnt want to leave her out and therefore would not be able to make an appointment. The CM on the line was fine with that and let me go.

So, as a solution, I ended up doing my own BBB in our hotel room. We bought dresses and make-up and all the works and mailed it to ourselves at the hotel as a surprise for the girls. They had a great time opening the box of dresses. Here's some pics:

So this is a suggestion anyways if you can't get into BBB or the photography session. Here's some pixie dust for whatever you do! pixiedust:

They have said that if they are with in 30 days of turning 3 you can bring them. Honestly if you think they will do okay then make an appt for them. This topic has been discussed alot on the thread link in my sig if you want to check it out.

twob4him~ great pics.

Oh My!! I was stopped with DD at DTD by one of the Fairy Godmothers in Training and she asked if I had taken her to the BBB. I told her no that she wasn't 3 yet and she told me that she had plenty of hair and if she would sit still then I was welcome to take her. She told me that they use the age of 3 because most little girls have enough hair by then and are able to sit still to have it done.....but if they have enough hair and can sit still for them to do it they are welcome to before age 3. We hadn't planned on it because of the age restriction so we didn't make the appointment and now that it's going up to $45 (give or take) I just can't bring myself to do it at that price.....at least not this trip. (unless I have a really weak moment between now and then because I do think she would LOVE it).

I'm sure you would be able to take your daughter without any problems, children of 3 years old come in all different shapes and sizes, so there would be no way that they could tell if she was a little under 3 :)
I took my 4 year old last year and she was soooo excited by it all, it was a spare of the moment thing whilst we were shopping,, my DD15 really wanted to have it done too, but she decided she was a little too old :(
As for the price, yeah I know its pretty expensive, but WELL worth the money, I have booked my DD's appointment for August already!

I LOVE that "send the dresses to the room and do it yourself" idea. I guess you could probably even pack a "magic suitcase" filled with all the same things too if you wanted to save on postage.

I just wanted to thank you all of the responses. I am not sure what we are going to do yet. I LOVE the idea of doing it in our room. I think that may be what we do this time. We will be going back to Disney in March for my oldest DD's national cheerleading competition, so I will take her then. She is so funny about things she may not even do it :confused3 So, for now, I think I am going to wait until March and may do the in room makeovers. It was such a cute idea and I loved the pictures :)

Is there a place in the MK to have the glitter put in their hair? I have seen a lot of little girls with it and never looked into it. I think my older DD would like that.

I have made an appt. for my 3 year old daughter when we go in Aug. Anyone have any experience with a little girl not having much hair to work with? My daughter has very thin hair and it just hits the base of her neck. I can get it into a ponytail but the back falls out a little. Will they still be able to do something or am I wasting my money?

The Harmony Barber Shop in MK has the pixie dust you are talking about. We had our DS's hair cut and DD's hair styled there in Jan. 2006. They do not take appointments, it is first come, first served, but we went straight there when we arrived and there were only 2 people ahead of us. It was around $15 for the cut and $5 for the style and pixie dust. This may be a good option for your little one, too!:goodvibes

Hi...can you tell me where in the MK is The Harmony Barber Shop located? Thanks! My DD is a bit too old for the BBB, but I bet she would love to have her hair styled and pixie dusted!

The barber shop is right inside the MK. When you walk in, head to the left. You will see City Hall, I think some restrooms, the fire station and then the barber shop. It is really small, but lots of fun.

Thank you so much:goodvibes. I think this will work out just fine for this trip. We will schedule a day to go to BBB when we go back in March. That will give me I mean... Katie something to look forward to :)

You're welcome! They also do fun things for boys with glitter gel. It really is a fun experience!

OT- I love your signature! My good friend just found out that she will be traveling to China in early August to bring her princess home.

Now I can not wait! We are getting so excited :) I will get both girls hair done, but I do wonder if it will come out? My youngest daughter is AA (her bio mom is mixed) so she has beautiful soft ringlet curls. I am a little nervous to put anything in it. I guess it will wash out eventually  We shall see.

Thanks for the compliment on my quote. It is part of a poem I read while we were waiting to adopt. Congrats to your friends. What an exciting time. We are planning to bring our last baby home from Vietnam in 2008. We are still in the paperwork process. I feel like we may never get ou t:) I can't wait to be a few months from traveling. It is such a long journey.

I know there were a couple of ladies that talked about this on the thread in my sig. I believe it is some where around page 50 but I am not completely sure. I will check and let you know where they talk about it. If its not helpful you can ask them some questions to see if that helps. I will say that regardless of whether you go to BBB or the barbershop the glitter will be the hardest thing to get out. I had my dd soak her head and we washed twice and it still didn't come out.

Thank you so much. The link in your siggi is great. It was right around where you thought, page 51 or so. I got great info. I am still learning how to do her hair myself, so that was very helpful.
Thanks again!!!
