I have an 8am Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation at the Magic Kingdom for my daughter next weekend, but the park doesn’t open until 9am that day. I just called Disney & the woman I spoke with said the cast members will be aware the park isn’t open yet at that time, & to just show up for the appointment once we’re able to enter the park at 9am. Does anyone have any experience with this, or know if that information is correct? It seems a little odd to me that they would tell me to show up an hour late for the appointment, & I don’t want to end up with a very disappointed little girl if we do show up late & get told we missed our appointment.

You will be able to enter the MK early enough to make the 8 am appointment time. There will be a special line for those with pre-park opening reservations (dining & BBB) which has a list of those with reservations.

Yes--- when you go up to the gates, there will be a gate open for those with pre-park reservations. Usually it is pretty easy to spot. Do not wait until the park is open at 9:00 a.m., if your reservation is at 8:00 a.m.-- you will miss your appointment. You got bad information.

The earliest pre-park dining and BBB reservations when the park opens at 9:00 are typically at 8:00 a.m. In the past, they typically open the gate for people with reservations around 7:45 a.m.- but someone who has done it recently will have a better idea of that. You will want to account for the fact there will be a line because everyone with a pre-park reservation in all the restaurants that do pre-park breakfast are all going to be there at the same time. Be sure you aren't getting in line with those that have decided to get there early to get in line for regular rope drop-- MK has early entry at 8:30 Saturday-- so you will have a lot of people already there waiting in line for Early Entry and regular rope drop. You need to look for the line for pre-park reservations which unless things have changed usually has a sign.

Ohhh this is a good idea !

Unfortunately, Disney doesn’t train their call center CMs very well, and this is just another example, one of many here on DISboards.
If they would just route those calls through these boards (I don't know, through some Disney-magic, imagineer speech to discussion board posting technology), people would get better information and answers than the official call center!

But yes - though it was pre-pandemic, my DD7 (at the time) had a pre-opening appointment for BBB, and we were able to get in through the entrance noted above. Make sure to take pictures on your way up Main Street and at the Hub, as it will be as empty as it will ever be at that time!

You got bad information. If you have an ADR or reservation for Bibbidi they will let you into the park early.

It might have changed since March, but our experience was different than our pre-Covid prepark opening reservations.

I knew that in the past, you went left and there was a dedicated line and knowledgeable cast members and you would be admitted early.

But in late March, for our CRT 8:00 breakfast with 9:00 opening, the CMs had no idea. They held us with everyone trying to enter.

It looks like next weekend MK opens at 9 with early entry starting at 8:30. So what should happen is that right around 8, they will open the gates to everyone. At that point, you can go to your reservation. You might be 5-10 minutes late if you are stuck at a slow entry point, but they should be fine with that as they will know when the gates opened.

Hope this helps. I will admit I was getting a little stressed when I was at the gate and I had a reservation in 5 minutes and nobody seemed to have a clue, but it all worked out!

That's so crazy! Not at all what I experienced in 2019.
