How far in advance should one make ressies for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique? My friend is going next month and has decided to take her daughter there rather then the princess breakfast. I'm just worried its to late now.

You can make them 180 days in advance, and they might be booked- but keep trying, people cancel all the time.

To make reservations you have to call, there is no way to do it online. It also helps if they can be flexible about time and location (DTD vs castle). It's a 24 hour cancellation policy- so even check when they are there if they haven't found anything before.
