Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique-Good idea for 3-year old? Please share PICS!!!

Yes, it is worth it. You dont have to do the nails bit, you can just do hair. Its the cheapest package and costs about $35 if I remember correctly. My five year old did it last month while my 2 year old sat patiently and watched. They comb your hair back in a bun, put sparkles, ...I wont spoil it.

When we went the reservation was about an hour late. You MUST make reservations, if you havent already. I would advise you to make them asap, and dont think that you can do it when you are in Disney. Thse things sell out months in advance.

Had to reply, you absolutely must do this. As long as your little one has some patience, loves attention, and knows what to expect you will do fine. I just took my 3yo last month, and she ate it up. She handled it all like a pro, I do paint her nails at home, its the only way she would let me trim them about 6 months ago, it just stuck...
Anyway, she did great. The staff was more than wonderful, made both her and me feel so special, like she was the cutest girl who ever walked in the BBB.
We did the big plan with the photos. My DH of course came with to video. Icouldn't get him to look me in the eye or speak to me for about an hour. I thought he was upset with the process or how much it cost. Turns out he was too choked up, and couldn't talk for fear of crying. I think we all felt we could have went home that night satisfied that we had a priceless experience. The photos I humbly think are amazing. The candids and the posed both are awesome. I bought the photopass disc so I can print them at home for alot less. I will try to post the pics. She's the cute one in green, Tinkerbella.

Enjoy!

Okay so I was just reading some threads about the BBB. And now I am not sure what to do.

We have booked my dd (4) for the castle package on the 10th before MNSSHP. However I read a thread that says the dresses are itchy, and that people were asked when they booked what princess dress they would want. Well when I booked they did not ask me, should I be concerned? Or do you think they have just changed things and don’t ask anymore? Also does anyone know the quality of the dress? My husband said the other day maybe we should buy a dress and bring it with us. However I convinced him that the dress would be a better quality if we got it at the BBB. Can anyone who has been and gotten a dress there tell me about the dresses? Will my daughter be comfortable wearing it all night at the MNSHHP?

Thanks in advance!

Rachel

16 days to go!!

Rachel - the dress is one of the $60 dresses you can buy throughout the park. You can go thru and pick out what you want before the makeover starts. My DD wore hers all day and throughout dinner. Our appt. was at 10:30 am. BUT ... the shoes were a nightmare and we quickly switched her out of them after photos and lunch. Bring something comfy. Earlier in this post I posted a link to our video which shows lots of pics with the dress and accessories.

Have fun!

I'm so happy to read the reviews of people who took their 2.5yr olds. I really wanted to do this next year in Oct when we go for MNSSHP and MIL B-day. I wanted to try to get my DD in for this and since she already has a cinderella costume I would just do the hair which is the cheapest anyways.

Thanks for all the reviews on the little ones doing it. I might just do it with her :O)

From these pictures, it looks like BBB is getting better. For a while there, when my mom friends and I were in the park (we live here so we go often), the poor little girls looked a little scary. From this post, it looks like they lightened up on the make-up a lot, so they don't look so 1980s Barbie. ;) I like the shimmer gloss and glitter. Just my opinion.

For my daughter's bday in July, it was all we could afford for the family to go to dinner at 1900 park fare at GF, so we decided to do it ourselves! We curled Emma and her cousins' hair, put pink nail polish on, shimmery lip gloss, you get the picture. With their princess dresses on, we topped it off with a tiara and they were in heaven. So I think it's a great thing to do, but if you have a certain budget and would rather spend the money someplace else, just do it yourself!! :wizard:

My girls love BBB, they are 5 and 7. My 7 year old has really short hair so they gave her extentions and my 5 year old got the classic fairy tale bun.

Sorry so many pics!

What style did your 7 yr old have please? as this is what my daughter would like. Thanks............. did it stay in OK? We are booked for the 11th Oct, and hope it will still be ok for her for MNSSHP on the 12th.

She did the diva style. Normally it wouldn't include the tiara (but it's only $10 extra) but I had emailed before we left saying she wanted the fairy tale look but had short hair so they did this for her instead. The diva style has the fake hair and some mickey mouse rhinestone bobby pins. It definately stayed in her hair all day and it was very easy to redo the next morning!

I love seeing all the pictures. They do a good job at Disney. The makeup is not overdone and the kids look adorable.

All of the girls look beautifull!! princess: I showed my DD the pictures from this thread the other day and she can't stop talking about it. We're both so excited!! :)

I have a reservation for Oct 26th for my DD who will be 4. Do they always have to use GEL?? Yuck.... Also for those of you who had photo's taken at the "other" shop, how long does that take?? My reservation is actually for 9 am and I have to be back at the GF for the Princess Tea Party at 10:15. I will have my own car so I can just zip back to the resort but the person that helped me with the reservation assured me that I would be back in time however she never mentioned the photos. I'm very conflicted about the reservation because it was supposed to be a relaxing day for us. After the Tea party we were going to go swimming and just relax before we hit MNSSHP but I don't want my DD's hair to get messed up before the party. So that means no swimming....Any advice or recommendations??

Thanks
Sharon
