We have an appt w/BBB but am kind of worried that my daughters hair will be to short for the FGM to do anything with? She is 3 and has a short angled in the back bob cut (so its a bit shorter in the back)
Do you think they will still be able to do anything with her hair? Does anyone have any pictures of children that had short hair and the results of BBB? Trying to decide if I need to let it grow out a bit before her appt or not. Thoughts please???

I have seen it done with very short hair. The FGIT will just put up as much as she can. I think the styles with hairpieces hide the fact that it is not all up better than just the bun style.

My DD has shoulder-length hair and we just did BBB a few weeks ago. She chose the style with the bun and little crown. As the PP said, with a combination of bobby pins, barrettes and hair glue, it was completely up and looked adorable. The difference, though, is that I've heard stories of little girls keeping their BBB style in perfect shape for days. By the middle of day two, my DD's short hair was falling out of the bun and sticking out. We washed it that night.

Thanks for the replies i would love to see pictures if you can

We have ours scheduled for Labor day in the morning with a CRT dinner about 5ish so hoping it stays in for that, at least the next day is our lazyish day so we will prob swim and I figure it will be done with by then but at least we will have a day with the hairdo.

When my youngest did it several years ago, she had a short bob. I, too, was concerned about how they would do her hair. She chose the princess bun, and they pulled the front of her hair up into the bun and left the back down. It was very nicely done--you couldn't even tell when you looked at her from the front. My daughter thought it was fabulous. Sorry, I don't know how to post pictures. If I can figure it out, I'll post them later today.

Another thing. If you don't already do so, bring some gel and/or hairspray--just in case the hair starts falling out of the bun or your daughter wants to try to keep it in longer. We never use hair stuff, so we ended up buying some while we were there. We were able to keep it up for two full days--I've never seen my daughter sleep so still and soundly, flat on her back, so she could keep her hair up.

Glad to know if they cant get all the back up they will just do the top as her hair is longer in the front and angled towards the back.

Good idea to take a small hairspray with us in the park that day,

I feel better now about paying the price for it to be done on her hair too, cant wait to see her face and her sisters when I tell them we are going to the castle to get our hair done in their dresses that I have brought from home to save some money ;)

Okay, I'm attempting to post a few pictures (before and after). Looking back at the pics now, they did an AMAZING job.

OMG she is so beautiful!!! :cutie: and thanks for posting the pictures, that makes me feel so much better about doing BBB, okay off to get her hair cut in the morning to is usual length, and not regretting it.

Thanks again

You're welcome. Glad the pics gave you some peace of mind. It is absolutely wonderful to see the look on these girls' faces when they are "done up." Reactions and interactions with the princesses/characters and CMs were cool. Even better were the number of "regular folk" who commented. My dad (Gpa) discovered this early on, and he made it a point to greet each child who was BBB'd with a "good morning, princess" during our stay. The girls' faces would light up every time. Hope you have a magical visit.

My dd has the same haircut as your dd & they did hers the same way last year & it looked just the same! It held up very well, even in the September humidity! Planning on doing it again when we go this Sept. :)

Hi All, My daughter has a short pixie cut right now. I want to take to the BBB but I am also concerned they wont be able to do much. I cant seem to find any pics of the different hairstyle choices available. Any help would be appreciated.
