Bibbidi-Bobbidi-BOO and a few Disney Dresses too!~ A Sept ’13 TR

The girls were each given cute little pink Cinderella BBB backpacks to take home -with their make-up palate, nailpolishes, face gems and some cute princess stickers inside.

I would say the whole experience took about 45 minutes. The cost of the “Crown” package was $60, plus I had added in a $15 tip for each of the FGITs since they had done such a fabulous job. The little conversations that they had with the girls during the makeover were so sweet. And I loved how they picked up on the girls personalities, and it was reflected in the make-up that they used. Bright & Bold for Jorie and much more natural and reserved for Isla. Just perfect!

The BBB is a pricey extra but definitely WORTH EVERY PENNY. The girls absolutely LOVED every minute of it ...plus the amount of extra attention that they received throughout the day is priceless!

We had some time before our breakfast ADR, so we thought that we'd head right next door to Castle Couture for the girls photo session. I checked in with Joe to see if they were in MK yet. I got a text back that he was picking up some coffees from Starbucks and then they would meet up with us.

The photographer took quite a few pics of the girls and they were all added onto my PP+ card.

Such a nice service that they offer!

Joe, Donovan, & Bronwyn arrived as the girls were finishing up. A CM talked to Donovan about his SOTMK cards that he was holding and Bronwyn had to show off her Ariel dress by twirling around the store for us.

Bronwyn was too young to do BBB since you have to be at least 3 years old. I'm sure that she would have enjoyed it but she definitely would not have sat still for that long. Something for her to try next time.

I'm sorry that I've gotten so far behind commenting. I have definitely been reading along though!

Your kids are all just gorgeous. The photos of them just make me smile.

MNSSHP looks like lots of fun, and you got some really great pics-the 7 dwarfs pictures are fantastic!

Yay for BBB day! I love your invite!

I'm right there with you. As long as I'm paying, I'm going to try to influence Maddie to pick the princess hair style. On our first trip I pretty much just pointed to it and said "that one right?" :rotfl2: She's chosen it every time thank goodness.

The girls look like they're having so much fun. It's such a great experience isn't it? Jorie's dimples are just killing me. She's a beauty!

Can't wait to hear about breakfast in the castle!

It's amazing how something so pretty can be so very annoying. Elsa is having a banner year this year that's for sure.

Argh. While I love the transportation to Magic Kingdom itself, sometimes I just wish I could just arrive there without having to depend on it. I know the buses now do, but still... It can be so frustrating.

It's such a treat to see the BBB in action since I have no kids and don't generally tour with kids. I can only imagine what a wonderful experience it would be with all the pampering (and lucrative for Disney). That would be quite a fun job I think.

Oh my goodness what adorable pictures from BBB! Both girls looked like they had a fabulous time and they looked beautiful!

When I have kids someday I'm hoping to have at least one girly girl who would enjoy this. I want to vicariously live through them :lmao:

The little mermaid dress your youngest had on that day is adorable as well. She looks so cute!

I love how the photopass people capture the reveal pictures...they are my favorite pictures of all ours at BBB. I love the pics they came out great!! Girls look so beautiful.

What a great BBB experience! Definitely a must do for every little princess. pixiedust:
Can't wait to read more of your updates.

Holiday wishes are GREAT back by the Storybook circus sign!! You can even sit down on the ledges around there too! Susie had the idea and we joined her for a bit back there in Dec and it was amazing!!

Beautiful snow and ice pictures!! AND YAY FOR DISNEY!!! What are your dates??!

I have no judging on you swaying the pop star princess look out, I seriously do NOT like it, it’s not very princessey at all and it just doesn’t’ fit lol. Those buns are seriously perfect! I’ve got friends who work in the boutique, time to find out how to do them! Lol.

What perfect little princesses!! So cute, and so glad they seemed to both enjo the experience, even if it took a little warming up lol! Amazing pictures of the girls after the transformation, Jorie seriously has the princess face and poses down, she should be the ad for BBB lol! Adorable! LOVE the little ariel dress! SO CUTE!

What wonderful memories! Not being able to do BBB is my one regret of taking out trip before DD is 3--she'll be just 3 weeks away! Oh well, it's fun to live vicariously through reports like yours!

We have had a rough couple of weeks with the weather too, but nowhere near what y'all experienced!!

Comparing to the pics from MNSSHP with Isla having an absolute blast while the other kids snooze away, the picture of both girls waiting for the appointment with Isla crying and Jorie smiling is pretty funny. :rotfl: You can tell which one partied the night before and which one got her beauty sleep!!

I don't even understand really why they have the pop princess hairstyle available since I'm sure almost every girl goes with a traditional princess dress or outfit. Where does that hairstyle even fit in?? I'm glad you were able to convince Jorie to go with something different, even if it did rub the FGIT the wrong way. Like you said, who is shelling out the money for the experience?!

Both girls look absolutely stunning after their makeovers!! The pictures from the photoshoot after are absolutely precious. I especially love the close ups of their faces. Your kids are so beautiful! Bronwyn is so cute in her Ariel dress and that starfist bow!! Love that touch!

The girls looked so beautiful after their makeovers! I was so glad when Alexa didn't pick the crazy pop princess look as well. It would be nice if they would get some new styles to pick from that do not involve rainbow spikes. LOL Isla makes me laugh how she can stay up so late, but she doesn't seem like a morning person. In the end, it looked like she enjoyed it though:goodvibes

Your pictures from the ice storm are so pretty. But, I'm with you on this weather! It's getting so annoying. My kids have missed 13 days due to the snow. Now they have to make up days at the end of the year.

Love the girls BBB makeovers! The FGIT are great. My DD was 3 the day we did hers and she was very well behaved and loved it.

Wow- that does sound like a hectic week!! I'll be so glad when spring gets here!!

Beautiful pictures too!!!

When is the next trip?! Exciting!!

ME TOO!!! The warm weather can not get here fast enough. :beach:

I am SO excited for our next trip....Check out my new ticker!

Still on the first page, but I subscribed.:)

Yay!! :welcome:

No worries! I'm so glad that you've been following along. You were my inspiration for starting this TR.

MNSSHP was so fantastic! Definitely something that I want to do again. It was so neat getting to meet the 7 dwarfs... they were some of my favorites pics.

Hmmm...I wonder where I got the idea for doing a BBB invitation? :thumbsup2

I'm so happy that Jorie "decided" to go with the traditional bun. I just love how the princess photos turned out. And you'll see that her hair actually stays in place for the next day too, haha! Yes, her dimples are too cute, aren't they? The girls had so much fun at the BBB. It was such a magical experience for them and for me watching the whole thing!

That is so very true! The ice storm that we got was just stunning but SO very annoying! We are getting hit with more snow right now...it looks like about 10 inches with more to come today & tonight.... but so far we still have power. I'm a happy camper when I can enjoy it from inside a nice warm house.

Disney transportation = :crazy2: I really think that they try their best, but with SO many people to move around such a large area... there are always going to be people stuck waiting. They really need to get moving on figuring out teleportation!

I could literally feel the tears well up in my eyes, I was so happy watching my girls at the BBB! Such an incredible experience for them and for me!
Those CMs that work there are amazing... I know how hard it is to get my girls to cooperate enough to let me put their hair up in a simple ponytail!

The girls had such a magical morning at the BBB and I WAS pretty much living vicariously through them! princess: I would have LOVED doing something like that when I was little. I really hope that you get to experience it with a little girl too someday!

I love how the photopass people capture the reveal pictures...they are my favorite pictures of all ours at BBB. I love the pics they came out great!! Girls look so beautiful.

Aww, thank you! The reveal IS the best part! It was so neat to see the girls' faces light up when they saw themselves in the mirror... and yes, it's perfect that the PP people are there to capture that moment. :lovestruc

What a great BBB experience! Definitely a must do for every little princess. pixiedust:
Can't wait to read more of your updates.

Every little girl going to Disney NEEDS to do the BBB at least once! pixiedust:

Great update! :)

:thanks:

Oh good to know! We'll have to check out Holiday wishes from back there... and we'll be able to on our next trip!! Yaaaaay! :cool1: We'll be in WDW Nov 6-13th, so we'll get to catch one of the first MVMCPs. :thumbsup2

Totally agree- the Pop star Princess hairstyle is NOT very princessey! I seriously need to learn how to do those buns. I should check to see if there are any You Tube videos on it. Jorie's bun stayed in for two days, it was perfect!!

Jorie definitely was in full-on Princess mode, princess: and Isla loved it too after she got over her early morning grumpiness.

What wonderful memories! Not being able to do BBB is my one regret of taking out trip before DD is 3--she'll be just 3 weeks away! Oh well, it's fun to live vicariously through reports like yours!

Such great memories... I will cherish them forever! The BBB was just amazing! I've heard of people getting their daughters in even though they hadn't turned 3 yet. If you think your DD will sit through it, you could try. Otherwise... it's the perfect excuse to plan another vacation when she is a little bit older! :thumbsup2

Great update! Your girls are so adorable! Looks like a great BBB experience!

Thank you! It was definitely one of the best parts of the trip! :cutie:

I caught up!:) Love the TR so far!!

Awesome! Thank you! I'm glad that you're enjoying my TR. :joker:

Both girls look absolutely stunning after their makeovers!! The pictures from the photoshoot after are absolutely precious. I especially love the close ups of their faces. Your kids are so beautiful! Bronwyn is so cute in her Ariel dress and that starfist bow!! Love that touch!

It's been a pretty crazy winter! ::yes::

It's funny how those two girls are complete opposites! Jorie is ready for bed every night by 8pm and she'll fall asleep as soon as her head hits the pillow. Isla on the other hand, sometimes we find her still awake when we are heading to bed! She is definitely our night owl and then she like to sleep in. Jorie is up and ready to go at the crack of dawn!

I've seen girls with the Pop princess style, so it does appeal to some.... maybe I would be able to understand it in HS as a "Rock Star" theme... but definitely not in MK at the castle. It definitely does not look right with princess dresses IMO. :confused3

Thank you! The girls had such a great time at the BBB. It was such a magical experience for them. They definitely captured some of that magic in those photoshoot photos! I love that you can see all of the glitter in their hair in those close-up shots.

Bronwyn LOVES Ariel, so I HAD to get her an ariel dress. Of course, after I bought the dress... Disney went and changed up the style of her green dress. And I was so bummed that she doesn't wear a starfish in her hair anymore. Oh well :( For Bronwyn's hairclip- I had painted a real starfish that I bought at the beach with glittery paint, and then I just attached it with hot glue to a french barrette. :thumbsup2

Haha, I know! I'm not sure any of the princesses would sport Rainbow spikes in their hair! lol

Isla is most definitely not a morning person. :rotfl2: I have to drag her out of bed most mornings for preschool! Thankfully she got over her grumpiness pretty quickly at BBB. It was probably not the best planning to schedule MNSSHP and then the BBB early the next morning... but I was trying to fit it all in before our parents left.

13 Snow days?! Holy cow! I haven't been keeping track of ours but I know that they already lost their Spring break and they are now tacking days on at the end of the schoolyear. What a bummer! And yup, we got more snow last night so they are all home today.... AGAIN!!! :crazy2:

Enjoying all your updates...waiting to hear about your next Disney trip being planned!!

Trip details are coming right up! :woohoo:

Love the girls BBB makeovers! The FGIT are great. My DD was 3 the day we did hers and she was very well behaved and loved it.

Those FGIT really are fabulous! What a fun birthday treat for your DD! Bronwyn will be turning 3 on our next trip, so I was thinking we may have the BBB be a birthday surprise for her! :cake: (... not really sure how "well behaved" she will be though lol)

So I maaaay have mentioned that….. WE’RE GOING BACK TO DISNEY!!!! Yeeeeeeeah!!

It’s true…. I have a new ticker and some Mickey mail that came yesterday to prove it!

I love that they are using the “Incredibles” as their theme…. Because you know that it’s going to be an INCREDIBLE vacation!

I was going to have a fun little guessing game at the end of this TR announcing all of the details…. but I’m just too excited and I can’t wait that long! And who knows if this TR will even get finished before our next trip. I hope so… but it sure does seem to be taking forever, haha!

So here ya go!

WHO? Just the 6 of us…. no parents this time. There will definitely be some positives and some negatives to this….

WHAT? A 1-bedroom Villa! The room at the Poly was AMAZING but by the end of the trip we realized that we definitely needed to stay somewhere with more room!

WHERE? The plan had been to stay at Bay Lake Tower in a standard view for the whole trip… but when the standard views were not available, we had to go to plan B. A split-stay!

And the resorts are…

and

Bay Lake Tower ~ Lake View

WHEN? November 6-10th at AKV and November 10th-13th at BLT

I am SO excited to be going back. Our last trip was supposed to be a "once-in-a-Looooong-time" trip.... but there is no way that I can stay away! So after much determination (and picking up a ton of extra shifts at work.) I'm happy to say that we're going HOME again!!!

I’m hoping this next trip will be a little less “Go, go, go!” and a little more relaxed… but who are we kidding? In my head, I already have the trip jam packed! Actually I’m secretly (or not so secretly) hoping to tack on another day to the end of the trip because I have so much that I want to fit in. lol

We loved our stay at BLT!! So beautiful. Let's see if it stays my favorite after staying at the Floridian Villas this coming week.

Continuing with Monday morning...

It was time for our breakfast reservation and wouldn’t ya know it, we were already where we needed to be…. Cinderella’s Castle! We had a 10:20 ADR for Cinderella’s Royal Table… and I was feeling a bit giddy! I think that no matter how old you are, you can’t help but get excited at the thought of going into THE CASTLE!!!

Joe’s parents were already there waiting, so I checked our party in at the podium. After a few minutes, we were led inside and shown where to wait in line for our photos with Cinderella.

Donovan pointed out that the area over top of the main door, matched his shirt. Kids take notice of everything!

I couldn’t help but giggle at Donovan’s “Guy Liner” that was still there from his pirate make-up from the night before.

Wow! We were actually INSIDE the castle! It was just like a fairytale. The details all around were perfect and just like any little princess would dream their castle to be.

And when it was our turn to meet Cinderella…

Isla had to show her who they had spotted way up near the ceiling…

Jaq & Gus! (Thanks for the borrowed pic littlenellbell)

Cinderella was so pleased that her friends were there that morning as well!

My mother-in-law chose to take the elevator upstairs because of her bad knee… so everyone except me, Joe and Bronwyn missed out on the cool twisty stairs and the Cinderella stained glass window. Their loss!

The inside of the dining room was spectacular!

We were shown to our seats, which were at two side by side tables along the back wall. It was perfect for our large group- and I’m a fan of bench seats vs. chairs, especially for the kids. We were handed our menus and the kids were given “Wishing Stars”… to be used later during the wishing ceremony, along with magic wands for the girls and a sword for Donovan.

Plates of fresh fruit and pastries were brought to our tables, along with our drink orders. Orange juice and coffee for me.

I was having a hard time choosing between the French toast and the crepes.

I finally decided on the Lobster and Crab crepes.

Warm Cheese-filled Crêpes topped with Spinach, Sautéed Lobster, and Blue Crab Meat with a Poached Egg perched on top and draped in Hollandaise Sauce

…and boy was I glad that I did! This was one of my favorite meals of the whole trip. So rich and flavorful!

Both my mom and Joe ordered the Steak and Eggs and I believe that my in-laws both ordered the Healthy Choice. Everyone seemed to enjoy everything that they ate!

The food was amazing but now it was time for something even better… the princesses, of course! princess:

The first princess to our table was Snow White.

She just loved that Isla was wearing her dress.
