Bibbidi-Bobbidi-BOO and a few Disney Dresses too!~ A Sept ’13 TR

Loved the MNSSHP pictures! The fairies and your pirate were great costumes too! So cute!!

We kept going back and forth about doing MNSSHP this whole trip since we weren't planning on it and didn't bring any costumes. But Avery really wanted to go again so at the last minute, we decided to do it. Well oops...the last party we could do was the night before. I had the party dates messed up and there wasn't going to be another until after we left. We thought we would make sure and go this year but now we have moved our dates up to August so we will miss another year.

Hallowishes are some of my favorite fireworks and the parade is so much fun too.

I love your girls' costumes! That is such an original idea and perfect since you had three!

Oh my goodness those are the most adorable fairy costumes I've ever seen, they are so cute.

I'm so glad you had such a wonderful night at MNSSHP!

Cute pictures with the 7 Dwarves, and I don't blame Browyn for going for the jewels, they are awful pretty!

Adorable pictures with Aurora and Philip. I believe I met that friend of Aurora at MVMCP she's fabulous! I never thought of it before but I've never noticed Philip never wears his hat.

Turkey leg lady would have bugged me too, I think those things are so gross haha.

So funny and awesome that Isla was the only one to stay up for the whole party. She looks like she was on cloud 9. At MNSSHP doing lots of things without her siblings, so cute!

The little fairy costumes are so adorable!! What a great idea! I bet they got a lot of attention during the party.
Yay for Donovan being brave for to try Pirates!
That is awesome that Isla got one on one time with Mom and Dad! I'm so jealous of your photopass pictures from the party. That is something we couldn't do because of the rain. Sounds like you all had a great time at the party!!!!

OMG- Those fairies are the cutest!! What an awesome idea!

Love the pic of Browyn with the gems- We waited in line for about an hour to see the Dwarfs in October!

Love the pic of you guys with the Hitchhiking ghosts! I wish I would have done that.

I totally agree about the party being worth it. We enjoyed it so much. I wish we could go again this October but we have plans to go with some friends of ours in February 2015. One year to go! :(

I am finally caught up on your TR. We were there at the same time (9/27-10/3)! We were even in the same park at the same time on two days. I tried to see if I caught your family in any pictures, but no luck. We were in HS on the 27th and MK on the 29th (my DD's 3rd bday) and we attended MNSSHP that night as well.

You were lucky to see the FGM at 1900. We went a few nights later and she wasn't there, but the step mother was. I love Jorie's dress from that night. My DD's name is Annastasia and she loved meeting Anastasia so much (twice even lol).

I understand about having plans ruined. That was our MK day after about 4pm. Small fight between me and DH because of getting the wristbands. Then I couldn't see the parade and didn't have the best of spots for Hallowishes. But DD had fun and that was the most important part.

The costumes!!! What an adorable idea! I can definitely understand the pull of wanting to meet Rapunzel & Flynn but when they are dressed like that, they just HAVE to meet Sleeping Beauty!!

That's great how much y'all were able to get done at the party. :thumbsup2 Isla must have really loved getting to spend the second half of the night with you & Joe after the other three fell asleep. What a nice surprise that she loved Haunted Mansion so much!! Her face in the carriage shot outside of HM says it all! :goodvibes

We were hesitant about the cost too (and that was just paying for DH and I! I can imagine it was an even harder decision for your family!), but ended up being SO glad we did the party! Best night in Disney ever!

HI! I'm just joining in, but I love your TR! All your matching outfits are so cute! Do you have a specific person/company you use? Or you mentioned adding a few touches to their fairy costumes, do you make them yourself? We'll be taking our DD for her first time in October and she'll be 18 months, so I'm really enjoying TRs with little ones! Can't wait to hear more! (By the way, photo bucket isn't displaying your photos correctly, we can only see them by clicking on the icon and having it take us to your album! Just FYI! :goodvibes )

Oh No! Is it just me, or is anyone else getting upgrade images from photbucket? I can't see the pictures - and with how adorable your children are, this is crucial! Help!

I just love your updates! Glad I caught them so quickly today. :)

The three fairies! How absolutely perfect. That was a great idea! pixiedust:

Looking forward to what's next.

 Thank you SO much. I love being able to share our trip!

LOL Turkey Leg Lady!!! To be honest I can't wait to try one of those turkey legs though.... You should have asked her if you could have a bite of her leg and then she would have thought YOU were the creepy one and maybe moved away! :lmao:

Loved the girls Halloween costumes! You are so creative! Totally jealous of all your creativity over here haha

I have that one kid that will stay awake and hang with the adults like Isla and not get crazy cranky. But then she likes to sleep until noon the next day :rotfl: She might be in for a rude awakening in April when we are getting up way before her comfortable wake up time and going to bed earlier than what she prefers but ooooohhhh welllll :goodvibes

I can't wait to see what outfits are coming up next!!

OMG, yes! I should have taken a big 'ol bite of her turkey leg since she was practically waving it in my face anyway. bwahahahaha :lmao:

Aww, thanks! The idea of the 3 fairies just came to me one day and the girls were sp excited to go along with it when they heard that they would get to wear glittery fairy wings. :tinker:

Yes, Isla is our night owl. She was such a trooper that night staying up past midnight. But just wait until you see her early the next morning... she was not a happy camper.

Overtime Nightshifts :( but Disney $$$$ :)

OMG Rachel, how cute are your kids (like you have to be told)???? I bet they got lots of attention that night in those costumes

I love how kids just make friends instantly. Grownups could learn from that.

:rotfl2: Bronwyn heading to the gems at the Dwarfs greet. God that cracked me up. That is seriously one of the funniest things I ever saw. Literally tears are flowing.

Yeah I agree, Hallowishes is spectacular but nothing will trump the emotion that is Wishes for me. Still, those perimeter fireworks sure do add a lot.

How funny that I had the exact same Stage Show to Parade Viewing strategy you did. Of course that just proves it's a good strategy.

I love meeting the villains too. It's a shame they're only out for a short time each show.

Oh God that is the worst thing about parades/fireworks etc. Just when you think you're in the perfect spot BAM another person/family rolls in and squashes it. Glad you didn't let it ruin your time. This is the best parade... EVER!!!

That Isla is quite the trooper isn't she? She knows Haunted Mansion at MNSSHP is a must!

Thanks Rob! I think that they looked pretty cute too... but of course I am a bit biased. ;)

Bronwyn really loved those diamonds. And those buckets were just the perfect height for her to check them out. Joe had to pry her away from them. lol

Watching the stage show & parade from the same spot... genius, right?! Great minds think alike!

I know! I wish that the villains hung out for a bit longer. Isla would have met ALL of them if she could have. :maleficen

Haunted Mansion IS a must at MNSSHP..... I guess that the other kids didn't get the memo. :rotfl:

Awesome! I didn’t completely fail at TR reading lol!!

And yes!! Mom was a competitive gymnast up to a super high level for a long time, then put me in when I was little. I switched back & forth between rhythmic & artistic and eventually switched over to cheer for a few years before taking it down a notch to just dance (darn tendonitis in the wrists! Lol) and Mom joined an adults rhythmic team about 5 years ago, and swapped over to the seniors artistic in the last few years! It’s impressive and awesome!!

Those costumes are absolutely adorable!! Love the idea too! Super cute! Awesome pp pic of you and dh! Cute pics with the dwarves, and hey, I’d totally go for the gems first too! So glad that Aurora & phillip loved the costumes!! So cute! And a great picture opportunity lol! I ASKED SNOW PRINCE THE SAME THING!! WHERE’D THE HATS GO….he said he couldn’t mess up his perfect hair, but seriously, the hats were great! …that Aurora looks very familiar….

Aw man, I definitely agree that #4 is the best for the Halloween fireworks, since they go off all around it’s much nicer to be a little farther back than regular wishes. Also back by BOG is amazing for wishes!! Sooo glad that you loved Hallowishes!! They’re hands down my favorite fireworks, I dunno what it is about them, but they’re definitely the most amazing!!

Yay for getting to meet 2 villains! That’s so great, and so great that Isla loves the villains, most kids that age are totally terrified of them lol!

Arg, I ALWAYS have such good test photos of nighttime stuff and then once movement starts they get all blurry!! I hate it cause it always happens in FOLK and in boo to you and they’re my faves!! AARRG the haunted mansion section tho! That thing is hands down perfect!!

So glad that you had a fantastic time and loved mnsshp, I already have 3 parties officially planned for Sept, with a different set of costumes at each, and another like, 2 potential parties in October…..halloween and costumes are a big thing to me bahaha!

You are doing an awesome job at TR reading... and commenting!:worship: I always really enjoy reading your comments. :thumbsup2

Yes! The hats were great... I loved when the princes wore the hats. I think that their "perfect" hair kind of looks funny. That Aurora was so sweet.

I didn't even think of watching Wishes from BOG, maybe I'll try that next time. Any suggestions for a good viewing spot for Holiday wishes during MVMCP?

Isla LOVES the villains. She even asked me if she could get some more villains dresses for next trip. haha

I know, I guess I have to research how to take better nighttime pics. I was bummed that so many of them turned out blurry.

3 parties for Sept....and more in Oct- that is SO awesome!! I can't wait to go back to a MNSSHP! Planning costumes is one of the best parts!

Loved the MNSSHP pictures! The fairies and your pirate were great costumes too! So cute!!

Oh nooooo! Oh that really stinks that you guys missed out on doing MNSSHP. :sad1:

I love your girls' costumes! That is such an original idea and perfect since you had three!

:thanks:

We had such a great time at MNSSHP! We couldn't have asked for a better night. SO much fun! Oh yes, Isla was on cloud 9. :cloud9: It was definitely her favorite night of the whole trip.

The little fairy costumes are so adorable!! What a great idea! I bet they got a lot of attention during the party.
Yay for Donovan being brave for to try Pirates!

Thank you! We did have a great time at the party. The girl's costumes made for some great pics and lots of fun attention. And it was so nice that Joe and I got to spend some time with just Isla at the end of the night. That almost never happens!

OMG- Those fairies are the cutest!! What an awesome idea!

Love the pic of Bronwyn with the gems- We waited in line for about an hour to see the Dwarfs in October!

Love the pic of you guys with the Hitchhiking ghosts! I wish I would have done that.

I really love the Hitchhiking ghosts pics too. We totally lucked out and just happened to be walking past that PP spot. After our trip when I was checking our PP account, those pics weren't on it and I was SO bummed! But thankfully they ended up finding them. Yay!! :hmghost:

Next February will be here before you know it! I remember planning this trip and have like 400+ days to go... and then before I knew it, the trip was here! I guess, planning a gazillion outfits helped the time fly by. :rotfl:

I am finally caught up on your TR. We were there at the same time (9/27-10/3)! We were even in the same park at the same time on two days. Yay, I think it's so neat knowing that we were in the same parks on the same day!! :hyper:

I was a little sad that we didn't get to meet Lady Tremaine at 1900 Park Fare... but the FGM was great! OMG, I bet that Anastasia LOVED meeting your Annastasia!! How cool!!

It totally stinks when your plans do go the way that you want. :headache: At least your dd had fun, right?

The costumes!!! What an adorable idea! I can definitely understand the pull of wanting to meet Rapunzel & Flynn but when they are dressed like that, they just HAVE to meet Sleeping Beauty!!

That's great how much y'all were able to get done at the party. :thumbsup2 Isla must have really loved getting to spend the second half of the night with you & Joe after the other three fell asleep. We were hesitant about the cost too (and that was just paying for DH and I! I can imagine it was an even harder decision for your family!), but ended up being SO glad we did the party! Best night in Disney ever!

I know, meeting Sleeping Beauty was a MUST!! The meet was great and even the PP photographer was enthusiastic and made a huge fuss over the girls. I guess that we could have gone back in line to meet Rapunzel & Flynn, but there was just so much else that we wanted to do. Hopefully next time!

MNSSHP was SO MUCH FUN!!! It would have been nice if all of the kids stayed up for the whole party... but on the other hand, it was really nice to spend some quality time with just Isla. Definitely some wonderful, magical memories!

Oooh, "Best night in Disney ever" huh? I can't wait to read about it!!

:welcome: I'm glad that you joined in!

Many of the outfits I bought as resells from other moms after their Disney trips. Others I had made from designers on Etsy & Facebook.

I made the girls' hats to match their fairy costumes. I didn't know how I was going to fit them into the suitcases, so I packed them in two pieces and then hot glued them together that day in the hotel room. lol

Oh your daughter is going to have such a great time! It's so magical experiencing Disney through the eyes of a toddler! :goodvibes

Thanks for the FYI- guess I had too many photos in my Photobucket, whoops!!

Oh No! Is it just me, or is anyone else getting upgrade images from photbucket? I can't see the pictures - and with how adorable your children are, this is crucial! Help!

SORRY!!!:scared1: I just upgraded, so it should be fixed now. :thumbsup2

What cute outfits!! I used to match my 3 up at Disney when they were little. Now with a 17, 14 and 9 yo I don't think that will fly ;)

Oh thank you! I'm going to be so sad when my kids outgrow this stage. Right now they are so easy going with what clothes I put on them... so I am definitely taking FULL advantage of it while I can!

Well it's been quite the week here!

Monday we had a snowstorm which left us with about 9 inches of snow on the ground. Monday = Snow Day from school & Tuesday = 2 hour late arrival.

Tuesday night into Wednesday, we were hit with another inch of snow, followed by what they were calling a half inch of ice. We woke up Wednesday morning with no electricity. Luckily we were still able to use our water and gas stove. But boy did it get cold without heat. We had limited cell service and were charging our phones out in our SUV.... which by the way, we noticed had a flat tire. And our other vehicle, Joe's work truck, was already in the shop getting fixed. Ugh! Our power finally came back on Thursday around 5PM (which was wonderful since they weren't estimating until maybe Sunday!) Phone/internet came back late Thursday night.

It was quite beautiful outside but the ice sure wreaked havoc on our area. Thousands were without power. There were trees down everywhere, which meant driving anywhere was nearly impossible. Schools were closed Wednesday, Thursday and today, Friday. My kids went to school for a total of 4.5 hours this week! Gah!

Elsa was hard at work! Every single surface was covered in ice. It was spectacular! When the sun hit the ice, it sparkled like diamonds. Just gorgeous.

On a positive note, in the beginning of the week before we lost power.... we booked the first half of our next WDW trip!!!! YAAAAAAAY!! It's official.... we're going baaaaaaaack!!

Wow- that does sound like a hectic week!! I'll be so glad when spring gets here!!

Beautiful pictures too!!!

When is the next trip?! Exciting!!

Day # 6

My 7am alarm seemed to be going off much too early. It couldn’t be time to get up already? I almost hit the snooze until I realized what morning it was!
We had been up late the night before at MNSSHP and I’m pretty sure my body was begging me for some extra sleep…. but instead I quickly jumped out of bed and got myself showered and dressed because I knew what exciting things were in store for us!!

The day before, “Cinderella” had left a very special note for Jorie & Isla…

…inviting them to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!

So I got Jorie & Isla dressed, and by 8:15, the three of us were heading over to the TTC. We saw that the Ferry was docked and people were boarding so we hurried over. Well they were pulling the rope across just before we could get there…. So we turned around and headed for the monorail. Well as soon as we got to the ramp, there was a group of people who were turning around and coming back down. I asked them if the monorail was running and was told “not very well.” Lol So it looked like we would be taking the next ferry boat over to MK. As soon as we got on, I made sure to get to the opposite side of the boat, right up against the rope, so that we’d be one of first people let off.

We arrived in MK just as the Welcome show was ending and they were letting everyone into the park. Then we found my mom on Main Street and headed to the castle. So much for getting some PP pics along an empty Main Street. Oh well, we decided to stop for a couple anyway… Isla was refusing to get out of the stroller so my mom hung out with her and it was just some pics of Jorie and me.

The crane in action.

We arrived!

It had been very cool to walk right up and through the front of the castle.
We checked Princess Jorie & Princess Isla in for their 9am appointments. I chose the “Crown” package for them, which includes the hairstyling plus make-up & nails. I let the Fairy Godmother-in-training know that we had brought princess dresses from home.

Isla’s late night had caught up with her and she was not acting very princess-like.

We waited for about 10 minutes in the waiting area. It was really starting to fill up! Lots of excited little girls ready to be transformed into princesses.

A FGIT called for the girls and then led them back to the fitting room where they could change into their gowns. After a quick change, we returned back to the front waiting area and then the girls were shown to their seats.

Jorie was given the last chair on the left side of the boutique and Isla had the left corner chair along the back wall (so basically they were seated right next to each other.) There was a seating area right down the center of the room, and that’s where my mom and I took a seat so that we could see both girls.

I was eyeing up these beauties that were right behind us….

So the first matter of business was to decide on which hairstyle. The FGITs asked the girls which hairstyles they would like and showed them photos of each of the different styles. Jorie immediately pointed to the “Pop Princess” style—the one with the funky wild crazy hairpiece that sticks up everywhere. Yup, I could have bet on that one. She already tells me that when she’s grown up, she’s going to have pink hair. Well I jumped in and pointed out that with the “Fairytale Princess” style she would get a tiara. After a little bit more convincing, she decided that she’d would get the one with the tiara. I don’t think the FGIT was very happy with me for swaying Jorie to the more traditional style, but I was the one paying and I wasn’t going to pay for something that I strongly disliked. Yup, I’m a control freak like that. No judging. There was no convincing needed for Isla. She pointed right to the picture of the girl with the bun & tiara. The girls also got to pick the color of their tiara and nailpolish.

The girls’ makeovers were being done simultaneously, but I’ll show their pics separately. Jorie’s FGIT, Lauren, started hair while Isla’s FGIT, Meaghan, started with nails & make-up.
Since Jorie’s started and finished first, I’ll show hers first.

From Jorie .... to Princess Jorie

From Jorie… to Princess Jorie:

Once the hair was up in a high ponytail, I was surprised at how quickly it was morphed into a perfect bun. So cool! I really should have watched a little closer so that I could try it out on their hair at home!

Glitter galore!

The big reveal! pixiedust:

She LOVES it!!! princess:
