BFF announced wedding at WDW this June and I JUST paid off our Disney cruise...HELP!!

I was trying to be funny, not offensive. You should google BBB pictures or something. The girls are cute, but IMHO, not wedding appropriate. Think glitter in the hair, heavy-ish makeup, big hair...

A little different, but when I got married at Disney, one of the little girls (not in the wedding party) went to BBB and came in an Ariel princess costume and I thought it was cute.

Also, check with your friend, brides are able to choose 3 hotels for the guest to stay and are offered a discount. If I remember correctly it was a pretty good discount. HTH

Obviously you have never been to TEXAS! :rotfl:

If you'll have a car, staying offsite might be a good value for you. Yes, you pay parking, but if you'll save more than the $14 parking fee, you'll be ahead. We've always stayed offsite and we've never had any trouble getting around (including as 21 and 22 year old newlyweds who had NO clue where they were going. Thank goodness for road signs!). There are tons of nice hotels on Travelzoo, and if you're just looking for a place to rest your head, there are lots of decent chain motels in the area. If you know other guests going to the wedding, perhaps you could share a condo or suite somewhere.

And if the buses are what's keeping you from the values, you'll have your own car, and resort guests get free parking at the parks, don't they?

if your really going on a budget then drive, stay at an all star resort so you can use park transportation or drive your own car and park for free. There is a room only discount out right now and im sure there will be more to come.

I personally wouldn't do BBB for my girls for the wedding, it would take attention away from the bride. If you really want her dressed as a princess then bring a dress from the disney store and do her hair yourself in a messy bun or a curly pony (depending on how long her hair is) and add something sparkly.

Like a pp had suggested, rent points at a dvc. There is a section on here for this as well as a website to find dvc owners who rent their points. I can't write it on my post but pm of you want the name.

BBB can be subtle if you want...but we did see some younger princesses in training who were really not into the whole production and were impatient and fidgety. At 2, your DD may be a bit too young, but only you know how well your dughter would tolerate it. (oh..didn't know about the age thing at BBB, but yes, makes sense...)

All due respect, on one hand you're saying you need to do this trip as cheaply as possible because there's no money left in your vacation fund, yet on the other hand you seem to have "musts" or wants in the less-than-budget range: moderate resorts over values as your top choice, a comparatively expensive breakfast buffet just because it's convenient, costuming your toddler daughter (I'd clear that with the bridal couple no matter what given that it's their day)...

Either you want to go on a strict budget, or you want to go on a mini-vacation. I apologize if I'm misunderstanding, but you don't seem to want to compromise much.

We have stayed at multiple resorts from AKL to POP and by FAR POP had the fastest bus service. They are the ONLY resort on property that does not share buses with any other resort and only has one stop.

If you have a car and you stay on property you won't pay to park anywhere. So really the bus issue, isn't an issue

BBB is out of the equation you have to be 3.

So your costs are:
gas
hotel room
chef mickey breakfast the day after the wedding
any other food
and park tixs

what other things do you have to spend on?

I'm a bit confused too.

And op, has it been stated that your dd is invited to the actual wedding? I'd clear that with the bride as well. If it will be an adult only affair you'll have to add babysitting into your budget as well.

sorry to confiuse people.....I was just hoping there would be people on here that may have information about places that offer discounts that would help us on budget. I guess I just want the most bang for my buck.....looking at these replys I have since found out that BBB is not an option....just something I thought if it was inexpensive enough would be cute...i really know nothing about it. I figured since we are going all that way that we could TRY and make it as nice as possible....this is really my first trip to plan by myself. I was just asking for advice but if you dont want to give any you really dont have to.

It really helps to know that we can park for free if we stay on disney property...I spoke with the bride and she said they have rooms set aside at one of the all star resorts so we can get the 20% discount there was well. I think we may do the all start resort....some of the other wedding guest are staying there as well and we plan on going to the parks together when there are no wedding events. Thank you all very much for your help. This will be DD first time at WDW and even though we are not staying long and we have other events I want her to have fun since we are making her sit for that long drive lol. I had initially planned on going to this wedding by myself but the Bride lives in NYC and wanted to see and visit with my DD and Hubby since we never get to see each other (thought us all going to the wedding would be awesome for her since she was so bummed when I told her I was thinking of going by myself), so we had to rethink this wedding lol. I really do appreciate all the help....it has really helped me in the planning process!!

what she said!

if your making it a family thing they i would for sure stay at the all starts with a room only discount. and make sure whoever is planning the park touring knows what they are doing!

The All Stars with your fellow wedding guests would probably be fun. I might also check out the rates at the Swan and Dolphin. They have some discounts for teachers and nurses that are quite good...also AAA discounts.

We have driven 3 times from the Spring, TX area. It is 17 hrs from there. Just to give an idea of drive time.
