Hey all!!

My BF and I are making his first visit in September. We will be there from the 14-20th. We are in our 20's with no kids. I have visited probably 7 times or so in my childhood, but it's been awhile and it will be my first time on my own without parents and siblings.

Our first 2 nights are really a check in (1st night) and DTD, with the second day being spent in Tampa and at the Rays game (just thought it would be easier to stay in Disney).. We split our stay, so we have the standard DDP from Tues Sept 16 through Friday Sept 19th. We will have 4 TS and 4 QS restaurants to choose.

So far, we know we want to eat at Ohana for one of our TS.. Would you suggest doing Ohana on a night that we do Animal Kingdom, and just scheduling it for around 6 after the park closes?

We also know we will probably be doing Teppan Edo in Epcot (he loves Hibachi and Italian). We will be in Ecpot for the Food and Wine Festival on 9/19, the first day.. So I'm not sure if we will stick with that dinner or not, depending on how heavy we eat during the day with all of the snacks.

Looking for other Table Service must-do's for around MK or Hollywood Studios as those days don't have restaurants yet... And suggestions for QS restaurants anywhere!! Or, we were thinking of doing a character breakfast instead of a TS dinner one night (thinking breakfast will keep us pretty full and we can do a quick service dinner).

Any suggestions are welcome! My boyfriend doesn't like seafood and generally doesn't have a very sophisticated palate (AKA he is a burger and fries kinda guy, he loves spaghetti and will try new things within reason LOL). I love anything and I'm willing to try new things, too! :)

I suggest eating at one of the restaurants at AKL after your Animal Kingdom day. Boma, Jiko and Sanaa are all fantastic. Jiko is a signature, so it will be 2 credits or payed out of pocket.

It's too bad you won't have DDP for your DTD day. Wolfgang Puck Express is the best QS restaurant. You could always stop by later in the week, it's worth it.

HS is short on good restaurants, so you might want to consider grabbing a bus or boat to a resort.

Not going to say they are must do's but places we enjoy -
MK - for a character breakfast DD loves Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace. Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare is also very good as is the character dinner. We are early morning people and schedule our ADR early so we can be at the rope drop or with CP in the park already. For other TS - we like Kona at the Poly. I've heard good things a bout the Wave but have never been. Character breakfast at the poly is also good.
DHS - if burgers and fries are appealing Sci Fi is fun. DD loves it for the theming. Our upcoming trip we are trying Mama Melrose. Some people find Prime a time fun but DD was very taken aback by the whole 50s theme and did not enjoy being scolded at dinner.
We generally do two TS a day - always a big breakfast, a snack around lunch or split a huge QS, and then TS for dinner. To us all QS are about equal, and we don't do a lot of QS, it just depends what you want to eat. At Epcot I will say we enjoy Sunshine Season/Season Sunshine - not sure of the name just the location. Lots of different options in one spot. The food always seems fresh and we can always seem to find something for our very picky DD.

I see he likes Italian. Via Napoli in Epcot is great! I highly recommend especially for the pizza. There are pastas there and great drinks too.

My BF and I just returned a few weeks ago, we are also in our twenties with no kids. I'll let you know what we really enjoyed...

In HS- The Lounge at the Brown Derby. It opens at noon and is on a patio on the side of the brown derby. We had a great lunch sitting outside people watching and sharing small plates (good sliders!!!) and having drinks. Perfect for a nice weather day.

For AK- We left the park and took a bus to AKL and had lunch at Sanaa. Loved it! And enjoyed taking a break from the park at the busiest time of day and walking around AKL. I think it was my BFs favorite meal. (Try the breads with accompaniments) The food is kind of different but nothing too weird, and great if your up for trying different flavors. And the servers are super nice and helpful with helping you pick something you'd like. Also most tables look out onto the Savannah so you can view animals while you eat, really unique and cool experience.

In HS- Was skeptical about what Sci Fi Dine in might be like for a couple but this is another meal we really enjoyed. We went for lunch and had beers, burgers, buffalo chicken and fries. We sat in the back of one of the cars and it felt like we were at the drive in on a date.

For MK- The day we went was super crowded and we decided to go across the lake and walk around the Grand Floridian and had lunch at the Grand Floridian cafe. Loved it... Really cute place and we loved what we ordered. (Another day earlier in the trip we ate lunch in the MK and it was total chaos. Screaming kids everywhere. I'd definitely reccomend leaving the park for one of the nearby resorts and eating there. )

Also, as previously stated I would try Via Napoli. We didn't get to, but I really wish we had!!
