Beware National Pricing

To All...
I have read in several places on the boards and it was inferred on National's web page that there is no extra charge or fee if you rent in one location and drop at another in Orlando (IE Airport and Dolphin or vice versa),

HOWEVER....

I was running quotes yesterday..and while there isn't a seperate "charge", they get you by changing different/higher rates!

A 4 day rental picking up and dropping at the Dolphin was quoted out at 56/day, while a PU at Dolphin and drop at the airport for same days/time and type of car was quoted at 83/day.. almost 30 higher per day.

Just something to be aware of!

National has a trouble with their internet reservation system. I've gotten rates much higher than people here have reported, waited less than 5 minutes, resubmitted and got dramatically lower rates. I suspect that may have happened to you. Although a few rate discounts, priceline/hotwire don't apply to one-way rentals, basically FL has no extra drop off charges and I've never found rates to be higher. I've rented in TPA and dropped off in MCO many times.
Try resubmitting your reservation request.
