Which wouldnt be as hot?

Walked last night 6-7 and this morn 7-8. Seemed a little cooler this morn.

Although I know it probably is cooler in the morning, I am just not a morning person. So I like to walk around 8pm. No sun and it's a BIT cooler!

I like to walk in the am. I think it gets the ole metabolism going--the furnace burning :p .

Why don't you walk morning and evening? You will rev your metabolism walking in the am and burn even more calories walking again in the evening. Sounds like a plan to me ;)

Just wondering if you take your own advice?

I walk in the early morning with Jimmytammy most of the time and AnnieT has been with us often too! We haven't "seen" you, Kath, in the morning - so I was thinking you were just an evening, but we will be sure to keep our eye out, since you PROBABLY follow your own advice

And, generally I am just too darn pooped to follow your advice. After work I am just glad to come home and eat the dinner my DH usually has ready (:o, yep he's a keeper!) and then I just think I will do some exercising - so if thinking about it in the evening is good enough - guess I do follow your advice too!!! And such good advice it is :)

It is definitely cooler in the AM around here! The temperature doesn't really start dropping until midnight (at least in the summertime)

My physician also told me that morning light is better for your mood than any other...although if it's a choice between that or not walking at all, I'll walk in the evening. ;)

I walk 5:50am-7am most days- and the best thing about it is I'M DONE and don't have an excuse to put it off at night. By 8 oclock chasing 3 little guys around I'm too tired to get out and walk- and it is about 10 degrees warmer at night.. For instance last night at 10pm here it was 82!! In the morning at 6 am it was 72- There's also usually a good breeze in the morning- and you get to hear all the birds singing too! (Cue the birds from Cinderella) :)
Enjoy no matter what time you go- if I were a Master Loser I'd walk both morning and night- but for me at this weight 5x a week is my limit right now.

But walking does WONDERS!!!

I usually do, Bebr. I usually walk a mile in the morning and a mile at night. My dog has been too weak for our regular quick walk. As soon as I get her blood sugar under control and she has the energy to do those two miles aday, I'll go back to walking with her, again. Right now, I'm forcing myself to do the WATP tape, instead.

I have to walk Sassy before sunrise and after dark. She is antisocial when it comes to other dogs (or any other mammal for that matter) so I walk her at times that we are less likely to meet other dogs being walked.

I've been doing this two miles a day for years. Just hit a little snag right now. Tell you what...I'll do the WATP twice until I can go back to the outside constitutional.

If you are walking in my neighborhood and not stopping for coffee, you are really hurting my feelings. I had no idea you walked so far from home. WOW, you must really burn lots of calories. What is that...400 miles?

actually I have been walking both morn & night
either 10 or 20 in the morn and then either 20 or 10 at night - total of 30x's around the "gerbil track" per day
Just not sure yet if I like doing most of my walking in the morn or night - usually depends where I have the most time that day
