It seems like ages since we were in Disney when in fact it was only last month!

This was our first trip with out dh to Disney with just my girls. Dh did not want to go this trip

Well the deal I got with a pin was so good I booked it anyways and off we went. We were there from Dec 12-16th and did the Disney Dining Plan which we got for free! :thumbsup2 We have never used it before and I have to say we ended up LOVING it!!:lovestruc

My girlfriend and her daughter who is 7yrs old met us there for the first two nights (she lives in south Florida).

We stayed at the All Star Movies...and just a quick note on that...we have never stayed at the All Star before - since it was a quick trip with just my girls and the deal was good we took it. Well I LOVED this resort...room, food court, bus service, location...everything about it and would stay here again even over some of the Moderates we've stayed at.:cloud9:

The whole trip was magnificent...80 degrees and sun every day (we made it right between the 2 cold fronts that came thru) and the parks were practically empty...we never waited more than 5 minutes for a ride!:wizard:

The Cast is -
Chickie (that is me) (eats anything)
Alex-Marie (13) (loves breakfast the best)
Devster (11) (SO HAPPY to be an "adult" on the DDP and put it to good use!)
Sandy (my best friend from Florida)
Jordan (her daughter)

Places we ate~
50's Prime Time
Ohana Breakfast
Coral Reef
Dessert Wishes
Sunshine Seasons
Kona Dinner
Crystal Palace Lunch
**Plus Bonus** Food Courts and Munchies!!

Here is picture of me and my girls to go with the names.

Okay...onto the food!!;)

We decided to go here our first day for an early dinner so that we could see the Osborne Lights since the whole reason for a December trip was to see all the Christmas things.

We checked in and they seemed very busy but we were seated within 5 minutes in a back corner. We had a great waitress with lots of interaction. The kids had a great time. My teen didn't want to go at first because our first trip she got yelled at for elbow on the table and she got a little upset but this time it was more fun!

I had the Potroast...it was very good

Alex-Marie had the Chicken Sandwich (she eats a lot of these!)
SDC11455.jpg

Devin had the Fried Chicken. This was HUGE and could have fed us all! Plus we had shakes! There was Collard Greens with the Chicken...she tried a bite (brave child) but didn't care for them but then the waitress came over and started feeding her the collard greens while making choo-choo noises...Devin sucked it up and ate what she was fed! :rotfl:
SDC11457.jpg

Then we had desserts. I had the Boston Cream Cupcake (it was sooo good but I could only eat 2 bites, Alex had the smores and then Devin had the Brownie ala mode and it was the biggest dessert I've EVER seen! She was in awe!!

And so the EATING BEGAN!! popcorn::

We have eaten dinner at Ohana's a few times but never Breakfast....well it was GREAT!! The food was wonderful, service was great, the guava juice & coffee..Mmmm mmm...we had a nice round table and the best part was I got to see my boy PLUTO first thing!! Yea me!!

Here are a few photos (didn't get a great shot of the food...we were hungry!)

Coral Reef was our favorite meal of the trip this time and was our first time here too (we tried to do thing we haven't done before)

Devin had the wild mushroom Lasagna...I didn't think she'd eat this but it was her "most favorite food ever!"
IMG_0224.jpg

Alex the Chicken eater of course ordered Chicken and it was the biggest piece of chicken ever and she said it was GREAT!
IMG_0225.jpg

Alex & I split the shrimp risotto app and I had the steak...both were wonderful and of course a fancy drink for me with a glow cube...Mmm mmm

The Desserts here were also really GREAT!
Here is the Chocolate Wave & the Baileys/Jack Daniels Mousse

Here are a few shots of the parks while we were there...it was like we were the only ones really around. What a great time of year to go. Also who knew you could make a Merry-go-round ride out of chocolate or a shop inside of a Gingerbread house! Wonder what they do with those after Christmas...that chocolate would last me a whole year...maybe! ;)

Another place we have never eaten was the Sunshine Seasons and it was really good for a counterservice restaurant.

I had the salmon with rice & veggies...it really tasted better than it looks here!
IMG_0272.jpg

Alex had Sweet & Sour Chicken (yes I keep waiting for her to grow feathers too!)
IMG_0275.jpg

Devin also had the chicken with different sides
IMG_0276.jpg

And they had to eat with chop sticks!
IMG_0278.jpg

The desserts were REALLY GOOD...we do love us some desserts!!:lovestruc

No trip is complete without one of these babies!! :cool1:

Grand Marnier Slushy - France Epcot

I also have to say our Mousekeeper was great...every day we had a towel animal and my daughters stuffed dog was busy doing something...hanging in the curtains looking for us to come home or watching Pooh & Friends on TV with the remote in his paw...she couldn't wait to get see what he would be doing each day.

And one of these suckers are always needed on our trips too! Notice Alex looking longingly across the room at it!

There is nothing better than Dessert & Wishes but I do have to say the desserts although they looked beautiful were nothing really great. Not bad just not fantastic...the coffee was good!:upsidedow But to see wishes from there and to have Tinkerbell fly right over your head and land...was well worth the money!! We would do it again without a doubt!

So we decided we were all a little hungry after the Dessert Wishes so we hit the food court at 11pm and brought some chow back to the room...I have to say these chicken nuggets were awsome....or I was just really starving!

I wish I had taken pictures of our breakfast platters we had there a few times...they really loaded up the plates with Eggs, waffles, biscuits, bacon, potatoes...we couldn't even finish it all and caught on that maybe we should just order one and share it!:thumbsup2

Here is our lunch from the food court it was really good also (not many things that I didn't like on this trip...well until our last day...more on that later)

Alex actually gave up chicken and had a taco salad & carrot cake...Devin had Chicken nuggets instead (skipped the nugget picture)
SDC10015.jpg

I had the steak salad, key lime pie and a fuze (which is now my favorite drink!)
SDC10016.jpg

We have done breakfast here before and it was GREAT so we tried dinner and equally GREAT!

Our Fancy Drinks~(only one containted alcohol....of course it was mine!)
SDC10041.jpg

drink2.jpg

Bread with Macadamian butter (yummy)
SDC10042.jpg

Shrimp & Coconut Curry Soup. This had big shrimp in it but I wasn't crazy about it and just had a few tastes...I guess I'm not a curry person.
SANY1428.jpg

Devin had the Teryaki Steak
SANY1434.jpg

I had the Ginger Crusted Steak...neither of us came close to finishing them!
SANY1435.jpg

Alex had...yup Chicken but it was even better than my steak I think...it was Coconut Almond Chicken
SANY1436.jpg

Desserts...we will let the pictures do the talking!:thumbsup2

Devin had the Kona Cone and I have no idea where the picture went but it was HUGE and had people around us laughing at her because it was so big!!:lmao:

So we had planned our trip around MVMCP and I have to say the parade and fireworks were great but as for the rest of it...the park seemed more crowded than a regular night and to us wasn't really worth the money. Don't get me wrong it was nice and I'm glad we did it but the Osborne Lights were way more amazing to us. Here are a few photos just for fun...

So our last day we head to MK and lunch at the Crystal Palace...we have done breakfast here every trip we have taken because the food has always been outstanding and the character interaction wonderful....Alex loves Tigger and Devin love Eeyore...

I have to say the food at the lunch did nothing for me and the characters were just okay...not as much fun as in the past not to mention on the bench next to me was a little boy who was out of control, a mother who just didn't care and a father who had a foul mouth and no patience. :headache:

I would not do CP for lunch ever again but would be willing to give breakfast a try again since we've always love that. Here are some pics of our not so wonderful meal...hated that it was our last meal of the vacation but all the good food we had one bad meal definitly did not ruin our trip!!;)

on our way out of the park after a GREAT trip & GREAT weather...the clouds started to roll in and the wind picked up and it was time to fly back home.

Good-bye to our favorite place!!
