We did a short trip last week to Orlando and did 2 days on Disney property and at MK. We had dinner at ASMovies food court one night and at lunch at Pinocchio Village Haus. I thought the pizza was good for dinner and the chicken nuggets I had for lunch were good. However dh wasn't so impressed. He had a chicken sandwich for dinner and it was very dry. I ended up giving him the rest of my pizza and the his sandwich (I drowned it in mayo). Then he had pizza for lunch the next day. So needless to say, he isn't sold on Disney dinning and not sure that the dinning plan is something he'd want to do.

So, for our next trip (which may be as soon as May), where are some good CS places to eat at?

Tangierine Cafe in Morrocco at Epcot has plates that are as good as many of the TS meals. I always get the chicken platter; my husband goes for the lamb.

Sunshine Seasons in Epcot has a huge food court type of CS that offers many stations where you can get all types of foods with great desserts. My husband likes the half roasted chicken meal but I prefer one of the Asian dishes offered.

AK has Flame Tree BBQ that is very good.

At MK, we like Columbia Harbor House. My husband likes the tuna and I like the hummus.

DHS has nothing that we've found that we liked.

DTD has Wolfgang Puck's Express and Earl of Sandwich which we both enjoy.

Cosmic Ray's at the MK has been always excellent for us. My meat-and-potato-eating DH and DS love to order the chicken and rib combo.

I second COSMIC Rays in MK........the selections there are pretty darn good..

Also Pecos Bills and Columbia House in MK are good

In AK.....Pizzafari has other choices besides Pizza and Flame Tree BBQ are good choices...

In STUDIOS....Backlot Express isnt half bad.....but just regular foods...

In Epcot .....Sunshine Seasons is excellent choices.....Mexico fast food is good...Morocco has good choices too ...

Our group of friends and relatives always liked the choices at All Star Movies. They must of had a bad day there to make a sandwich dry......usually it is pretty good ...But even GOOD restaurants have bad days...

DTD Our favorite is Earl OF Sandwich....delicious choices of soups and sandwiches.......the sandwiches are big enough to even make a grown up full....
have fun on your next trip

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.

Epcot: Electric Umbrella.

Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree Barbecue & Pizzafari.

Downtown Disney Marketplace: Earl of Sandwich.

Contemporary: Contempo Cafe.

Grand Floridian: Gasparilla's Grill & Games.

Thanks for the tips. I remember eating at Cosmic Rays in 2000 when dh and I went on our own. It was good. In fact, we ate both lunch and dinner there. I think we picked Pinocchio Village Haus because it was close to where we were (Dumbo) and it was freezing. I'll make note of these suggestions for when we go again.

At MK Pecos Bills
At Epcot I like Rose and Crown CS or the CS in Mexico
At HS Back lot is good
At AK I really like Yak and Yeti's CS.

I thought that Flame Tree BBQ was a good choice 4 of us ate there and all had a good meal.

With a few minor alterations, this could have been my EXACT post!

I get the vegetarian platter at Tangierine Cafe, and we've never eaten at EoS, but it's on our list.

Anyway, I second these recommendations!

In the MK we like Columbia Harbour House, Pecos Bill and Cosmic Rays (great chicken and ribs combo)
In EC we love many of the International CS including the Cantina de San Angel in Mexico, Sommerfest in Germany, Yakatori House in Japan, French Bakery in France, Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco, and the fish & Chips at Harry Ramsdens in the UK.
Nothing is outstanding in the DHS but the Backlot Express is acceptible.
In AK we like the Flame Tree Barbeque.
Have a Great Trip

If you want a nice break from the park hop the monorail over to Captain Cooks at the Poly. They have a very good Turkey sandwich (real turkey not yucky processed) on whole grain with the best chips (Sweet potato I think), excellent stir fry salad and really good flat-bread pizza. They also have a serve your own Dole Whip machine!

Their breakfast is awesome too because they have Tonga Toast-only the best french toast ever!!!!

The only other CS that I loved was at DTD and I think it was Wolfgang Puck maybe? Excellent food-above standard in selection, preparation and taste.

we really like Wolfgang puck express. His 1/2 rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes are great.

I was underimpressed with cosmic ray.

Pecos Bill's taco salad rules with us. You use the toppings bar to make your own. They give you taco shell with meat in it and you add the lettuce etc.

Columbia Harbor House is our little getaway. It seems more quite in there and DH loves the tuna sandwich. I love there fish planks.

Cosmic Rays is my favorite at MK
Sunshine Seasons at Epcot has enough variety to satisfy any appetite.

MK - Columbia House

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons, Tangierine Cafe, the French bakery

AK - Flame Tree, or the Picnic in the Park if they're still doing it.

DHS - No idea. We spend very little time there.

I tried the sandwiches at Starring Rolls Cafe at DHS last trip and omg so yummy! Very refreshing and not to mention large portions.
