About us:

My name is Beth and I am a 23 year old pre-k teacher that lives in Savannah GA.

My fiance's name is CJ and he is currently a lifeguard manager.

How We met:

We both went to the same college Brewton-Parker College at small college in the middle of nowhere GA. We were eating lunch one day when he sat down with me and a friend. When I was away he asked my friend if I was dating anyone, and she said no. The next day, he was waiting for me outside me dorm room to walk me to class. We started dating in January of 2006.

The proposal:

One of our nightly rituals would be to go for a walk at night around campus. He asked me if I wanted to go for a walk that night at lunch. I said sure but then it started to rain cats and dogs. He kept persisting that we should go on a walk tonight because there was going to be a meteor shower. I kept telling him that its raining we could wait to go on a walk tomorrow night. My friends and CJ kept persisting that I would be able to see the meteor better in the rain. So we drove to Wal-mart purchased a 15 dollar umbrella and drove back to school. About 11:30 we took the umbrella and started to walk in the rain. We got to the gazebo on the lake, and silly me was actually looking for a meteor. He turned me around and he was kneeling, and asked me to marry him at 12:01 January 17 which was our 2 yr anniversary. I will to this day say I said yes, but if you ask him he will say I didn't.

General info:

We are having an escape wedding on 10-20-11 at the Yacht Club at 10 am. We want to have a lunch afterward but not sure where. We were thinking about the melting pot but they only open for dinner. Any ideas?

Details:
I already have the dress that I got from David's Bridal.

We are having my sister as the MOH, his brother as the BM, and my niece as the FG.

We have book Dr. Tino as the rev. (off the list they gave us)

For hair and Make Up Christene. (off the list they gave us)

We are considering adding Randy Chapman for a second photographer because I really want the rights to the pictures on a CD. What do yall think about this?

Is it worth it for the extra $750 for the extra flower enhancements on an escape wedding at the YC? Can we bring our own FG basket?

We made our invitations ourselves they turned out really cute.

We are staying at the Movies resort from 10/19-10/23.

I think thats it..

Welcome & Congrats!!! Just wanted to say hello to another Georgia gal!! Don't see many people from our area on here.

I can't really help you with the decor question. We're getting married at Sea Breeze Point. We're just going with aisle petals for our decor, with petals on the cake table, and toss petals in a basket... also chair covers. That's it as far as the ceremony goes. Just check out some of the other PJs on here. There are lots of pics to look at. I liked a lot of the floral packages they had setup. But there were certain things I liked about them and things I didn't.

Just do a little research on the boards. I'm sure you can find something. Happy planning!! :cutie:

Welcome and Congrats!!! I say definitely to Randy Chapman. The pictures I've seen that he has taken have been amazing!
Can't wait to hear more of your plans!!

Thanks for reading my PJ. I haven't seen many GA girls here either. Kristi I love the idea for the dinner. Fireworks would be cool.

I know its been forever, but I lost the thread for my tr. Anyway we are eating at the melting pot for dinner at 5:30. After the wedding we are going back to the house DF's parents are renting and having a mini reception until dinner at the melting pot. I went for the fitting on Sunday and the dress will be ready Oct. 7. We are having out bachelorette party the next day.
Our welcome bags are coming along great so far we have disney gummies, hand santizer, mickey pez candies, water, and the bags. We are planning to add ponchos, pain reliver, custom tshirts, and maybe the celebrating buttons if I can get them in time. My moh is being slow and still has not bought her dress. Should I buy it for her? So now is the finishing paying the money part, and waiting until the big day.. :wizard:

Oooh! I LOVE the Melting Pot! It's my favorite restuarant! I visit the one here at least twice a year. And its not too far from Disney.

So we origanally were staying at the ASMovies but I really want to upgrade our room to something nicer, and closer to the Yacht club. Which one would yall sugest? Also, my fiance is going to wear a white tux and the rest of grooms men are going to wear black tuxs. Would this be ok for an morning October wedding? I need your thoughts soon!!Thanks :goodvibes

So.. the time is ticking down.We leave for florida tomorrow morning by car. We are going to stop and get our marriage license, I am really worried that there is going to be some hold up while trying to get it. Then we are checking in at Cornado Springs. Finally, we are meeting our families at Margitaville for a welcome dinner. I am getting married in two days!!:cool1:
