Best WiFi areas in parks

Well, it's come to this. I've double booked myself and I'm being forced to do "work" on my vacation.

There's a presentation that I *should* have stayed in town for, but come on, DISNEY, right? So, fortunately it's available streaming at the same time, so I'm not missing out on anything, and thanks to modern technology there's WiFi in the parks now.. my question to those who may have done this sort of research is, where are some of the best, strongest, least congested WiFi signals in the park? I believe it's the evening we'll be in the Magic Kingdom, and my initial plan was to park myself in Cosmic Rays, out on the back side, facing the castle (and apparently construction now? don't get me started!) -- but that area's usually quiet, and I figured that might be a place where a router would be for a stronger signal... does anyone have any insight? TIA!

anyone have any ideas?

Maybe even places where the WiFi *didn't* work as well!?

I am not sure where might be the strongest signal, but I can tell you my experience with it. We were there last week, and at Port Orleans I didn't have any trouble at all with the Wifi. I'd get on my iPhone every night to check Memory Maker, etc. and it would always automatically log me right into the Wifi. But one day we were in Magic Kingdom and I wanted to check to see if we could change a FP+, and I couldn't get MDE or Wifi to work at all. Now, this could have just been an extra busy day (MK was PACKED) or could have been my phone, etc, but that is what I experienced.

Good luck! Working at Disney is sure better than working at your workplace. :)

If you don't mind the short walk, wifi in the Contemporary Resort lobby areas is excellent. There are a lot of quiet places with sofas and coffee tables on the 3rd and 4th floors.

That's a good idea! We have been there to Chef Mickey's twice (it's on the 4th floor) and it's always very quiet in the lobby areas. Plus you get the Disney feeling because the monorail comes through there. :)

I found the Magic Kingdom to have the worst wifi of all of the parks. I wouldn't pick that park to try to do your work.

When we were there last fall the wifi worked fine if you were at the resorts. The wifi barely worked at all in any of the parks. Trying to use MDE in the parks was a nightmare. Also if we wanted to access the internet, many times we had to go in and turn our wifi completely off to be able to do so. If you are on a MK night, I agree with the PP who said to walk to the Contemporary. You could also take a boat to the GF or Poly. It won't take you long to get to any of those and the chances of you being able to get or maintain a connection are a whole lot better than you will find in the park.

We just got home today. I didn't have any trouble with wifi anywhere. Worked both in parks and resorts - usually and I mean like 90% of the time I had full signal strength.

ahh.. thanks y'all

the family wants Wishes, as do I, so that's why I was gonna be at MK.. but I wonder what the signal strength is like outside at Poly?

You've all been quite helpful!!

There's a 4th floor observation deck at the Contemporary but I am not sure if the Wishes music is piped in.
