I'm using expedia currently to get a last minute hotel at DL. I see there are 2 Best Westerns listed. Which one is best? Theres currently a good rate at the "Best Western Plus Meridian Inn and Suites". Is that the one that is close?
Sorry for the silly question. We haven't been to DL in 10 years and I only have 2 weeks to figure it out

The one right across the street on Harbor is Best Western Plus Park Place Inn & Mini Suites.

depends what you consider close -- that hotel isn't walkable

approx 5 miles from park = 15 to 20 drive

. Thanks guys. We want to walk and currently have a reservation at Cane Inn but I think we might want to change. We stayed at HOJOs last time but its been 10 years so it seems foreign

Did you try BW Stovall's? It's on Katella, it's walkable and usually has good rates. We just stayed there 2/3-2/6.

There are 4, in order of walking distance from shortest to longest walk to the park entrance....
  • BW Park Place Inn - right at the crosswalk with Disneyland on Harbor Blvd.
  • BW Plus Anaheim Inn - on Harbor Blvd, situated between Dennys & the Grand Legacy at the Park motel.
  • BW Stovalls - on Katella & Disneyland Dr. next to Coco's.
  • BW Plus Pavilions - on Katella between Disneyland Dr & S. Walnut St (but closer to the S. Walnut St intersection). There's a Denny's next door.

There is also a Best Western on Ball Rd at the corner of Disneyland Dr.

I just want to add a reminder that you can no longer cut through the Grand Californian when staying at Stovalls or Pavilions.

It's still not a bad walk. I was pleasantly surprised, and you CAN still cut through GCH on the way back. I was there last weekend, security is super efficient and walking through DTD makes it seem shorter. Also, you can take the monorail if you want-Just not first thing in the morning when it's limited to DLH guests. I don't think it's a walk that I would want to do multiple times a day, but for $87.12 a night I gave it a shot.

This was SUPER helpful! Thanks!

The first two BW's are next door to each other, right?

The first two are separated by one hotel, but yes, pretty darn close to one another!

This one is BW courtesy inn. Stayed here last time, 2 min walk to parking lot and jump on tram (requires stairs) watched the fireworks from pool
It's at the discretion of the security guard if you can pass through the surface lot. They can direct you to DL Dr, at which point I'd just as soon walk through DTD. Although I haven't done that walk or tried to cross to M&F since the new security opened.
