Hi! We are visiting in August for 3 nights. I have a room booked at Park Place but found a cheaper rate at Grand Legacy and an even slightly cheaper rate at Tropicana. It will be 4 adults and 1 2.5yo. My parents are not doing Park days with us but will enjoy downtown Disney, rest time and some meals with us. We can save just over $100 at Tropicana and about $70 at Grand Legacy. What do you think is the best option? TIA for your help!

I haven't stayed at BWPPP or GL, but I have stayed at Tropicana and I really enjoyed it. The walk to and from the park was easy peasy.

I like Tropicana, but I feel like the standard rooms are too small for 5 people. If you will use the breakfast, I would stick to BWPPI, the location is unbeatable.

We use the Tropicana most of the time. We are switching over to the Candy Cane for some variety. Tropicana is fine. beds are comfy, usually the front is very nice, and the pool is good. By far the walk is the best part. remember parking is not included in your room rate and is a extra 17 a night. when we factored that in the tropicana became more expensive the HOJO and Candy Cane.

We have hd five in the room before and it does get very crowded, especially with any stuff and strollers. Also many have only standing showers and not baths...

I haven't stayed at the Tropicana or the Grand Legacy since they changed over (they were previously a Ramada). When it was the Ramada, it was fine, but there wasn't really anything special about it that would have set it above the BWPPI. Overall, for my family, the proximity of the BWPPI to the parks is hard to beat.

Thanks! It is tempting to try the Tropicana and save some money and be able to pay for Goofy's Kitchen and still walk out ahead. But it's hard to switch to a hotel I've never tried. I think I'm canceling out Grand Legacy be Cthey have bad reviews about wifi. But they at least offer a breakfast bag.... I can't decide...

I would switch and give it a go. Especially if the difference in money will allow you to pay for Goofy's Kitchen.

We usually stay at BWPPI but opted for the Tropicana this trip because it was considerably cheaper and just as close. We stayed there once before and it was fine so I'm good with staying there again to save some money.

The BWPPI rooms to me feel a notch nicer. I only stay at Tropicana when BWPPI is sold out when I want to visit. The price difference is worth it for me to stay at BWPPI. Never stayed at GL / Ramada.

Thanks! I love staying at BWPPI, it is always our go to, but the savings for Tropicana is significant.

I love the pool and the giant hot tub at the Tropicana! We have stayed there several times and love the little on site store.

BWPPI just felt a little less tidy and a little less scenic in my opinion.

We haven't tried Grand Legacy, but the pool there looks awesome, they also just remodeled and opened a rooftop lounge, so they are definitely on my list to try!

We stay at the Grand Legacy a lot. We usually get the best rate there and the rooms are clean and large enough for our family of five (2 adults 3 kids). The pool is nice enough for a parking lot pool. We stayed at the Tropicana once several years ago and found the room on the small side for us. We've never stayed at the BWPPI.
