Still deciding on a hotel for March and one thing I'm trying to figure out is if the sofa beds at BWPPI would be comfortable for an adult or 6 ft tall teen. We'd be in the 2 queen / 1 sofabed room.

Also...does anyone know if they have freezers in their mini fridge?

(Our other option is Desert Inn & Suites, but we'd have 4 queen beds so nobody would need a sofabed.)

Wellllll....I would have to say that there is probably no sofa bed that would be very comfortable for a 6' teen or adult, but still, it's a teen so they would probably be better on it than the adults, LOL.

I'm short/small and I do fine on a sofa bed for those reasons. However, if I were there with a teen, no matter what height, I'd let them have the pullout bed! Call it a rite of passage. With age comes the right to confer sofa bed status on the youth.

I'm sorry but I don't know if there is a freezer in the mini fridge. If there is, it's going to be quite small, I think.

Are you certain there is a sofa-bed. We've stayed there a number of times, but have always had two beds in the room, did not need or check the sofa. I would call and ask - it is a small enough hotel, the rooms should be pretty consistent on beds and what refrigerator is there. I do recall the refrigerator was not super big (cannot recall the freezer portion). They do have ice machines too.

We stayed in one of these mini-suites in 2022. The sofa bed was not great; my kids said it was okay but I wouldn't have been thrilled sleeping on it as an adult. My kids were 9/10/12 at the time (they took turns using it).

I think there might have been a tiny freezer compartment to the minifridge, but can't say for sure, sorry!

Absolutely loved the proximity to the parks and the included breakfast was also an excellent perk.

We've stayed in that suite multiple times. When I was there with family, one of my teens slept on the sofa bed and we've not had complaints about the bed, but sometimes it does get hot because the A/C doesn't vent into that front room so if the connecting door is closed, it can get warm. It's a sofa bed so no one is going to love it, but it's perfectly fine for us.

I have stayed there with friends for Dapper Day and we use the front living room/sofa bed room for getting ready, storing suitcases, etc.

Our mini-suite did not have a door between the sofa bed and the queen beds - only sort of a half wall, or a partial wall with a cut-out.

Yeah, I don't think there are doors in the BWPPI rooms. There is one in the parlor suites at the Desert Inn though.

I had wondered about the fridge too and a while back I found a video that shows it and I took a screenshot.

Did the half wall give you any kind of privacy? Are those suites a bit bigger than the regular rooms? I was wondering if you can still hear people walking by your window/talking if you're in one of the beds on the other side of the half wall.

No privacy with the half wall. I cannot say about the other room types, did not get a chance to see them. I did not find it particularly bothersome to have an exterior entry (which I usually hate) but I am sure that I was also just exhausted after long park days.

I found a picture of our room! Here you go.

We haven't stayed at BWPPI yet. But we have done the parlor suite at Desert Inn. There are 2 beds and then a smaller room up front with a pull out couch. The wall between definitely helped with hearing people walk by. But you'd still be stuck with a sofa bed.

We stayed in this room type towards the front of the hotel and right across from the breakfast area. It was really loud. And I’m not easily awakened by hotel noise. If you decide on this hotel, I would request a room towards the back of the hotel if you can. Have a fun trip!

Thanks for the tip! I'm torn between here and DI&S but can't forget the taco beds lol.

Thanks! We'd be in the C2 suite, which has 2 bedrooms and the sitting room with a couch. Good to know that being in the bedroom with the door closed helps with outside noise.

We stayed at the Best Western Park Place Inn and our 28 year old son got the sofa bed and did not complain but he is pretty easy going. That room worked well for us. We used to stay at the Disney hotels but they priced us out. We loved being so close to the main gate and were happy with our stay there.
