On our first trip to WDW we stayed at the Polynesian and enjoyed it. However, this time we got a rate at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista--Downtown Disney--that's just too good to pass up. It appears to be a very nice hotel. Has anyone stayed there and would be willing to share their experiences--good or bad? How good are the views from the Disney side? Is it worth paying extra for? I understand there is an observation deck on the top floor. Also, how expensive is it to eat there? My only complaint about the Polynesian was the outrageous prices for food--an apple and small carton of milk at the snack bar cost $6!!!
Any comments on this hotel appreciated--also, how convenient is it to the theme parks? Of course, you can't beat the monorail for convenience, but even if you stay in a resort on the monorail it doesn't take you everywhere and you still end up riding the bus a lot.
So, would appreciate any comments, suggestions, etc. Thanks!!
