Best weeks in October

We will be going in October and it seems like the first two weeks had conventions that made it very crowded in the past. Anyone know which weeks are less crowded?

Avoid Columbus Day, the weekend before and the day after and you should be fine. Also WS will be crazy busy all day Sat and sometimes Fri night as locals flock to Food&Wine.

We were there October 29-November 6th and it was great- weather, crowds and we experienced a MNSSHP and then a touch of Christmas. I would go again that week in a heartbeat!

That's reassuring - we're going 20th Oct - 4th Nov and I've been nervous about crowds

We have gone the last week of October- first week of November. Crowds were fine. Weather was good overall but I think we experienced all 4 seasons in 2 weeks.
