Best weekend for Christmas surprise trip?

I'm hoping to surprise my fiance with a quick weekend trip to Disney for his Christmas present. Anyone have suggestions for the best time to go? I can take two days off work, so have been looking at a trip from Thurs-Sat. Since it's a quick trip, we'll get a one day park ticket, and tickets to MVMCP. Originally was looking at Dec 20-22, because it's closest to Christmas and I don't want to give him his Christmas gift weeks/months in advance. But, I'm worried it's not going to be worth it going that close to Christmas.

My second choice was Dec 13-15, but I'm worried about giving someone their Christmas present 2 weeks before Christmas. Would you care if you got your Christmas gift that far in advance? I know I'm overthinking this but I want it to be perfect because neither of us have been to Disney over Christmas!

I think Dec 13-15 will be your best bet crowd wise and I am sure he will be totally fine getting the present early. Guys don't think like we do. LOL

If you have a choice of dates, do not do Dec. 20-22. It will be PACKED. Go Dec. 13-15 or even earlier if you can. It's WDW. I certainly wouldn't care if that present came early!

I’d check the crowd calendars and pick any weekend in late nov/early dec. You can do a cheesy and adorable “elf brought you an early gift from Santa” thing to make it more special that it’s so early and have a blast with it! Or do an elf on the shelf thing! My husband would never care that it was weeks before Xmas.

Just thought of another idea.... you can have the photos made into a nice album and on actual Xmas morning he can open that, so he has something on the morning to remind him of his big present.

I would do the trip earlier and buy a souvenir to give him for Christmas as a remembrance. We did a trip to celebrate my sister’s 50th birthday but went a couple of weeks before her actual date just because the timing worked out better. My nephew and I got three pick-a-pearls at Epcot and I made a pendant and earrings with them. That’s what she got on her birthday.
