Best week in October to go to WDW?

We do not want the Halloween week.
Not the NJ on vacation week.

So when in October is the least busiest ?
Please help us plan.

We went the week before Halloween last year. It was awesome. BUT, we are rope drop people. Every day, we walked on or had a less than 5 minute wait on every ride at every park up until noon. Afternoons could and did get busy, but we had hoarded FPs or saw shows.

The weather was spectacular. I wasn't ever hot or cold (even in the mornings) - it averaged right at 75 for the high.

I wanted to go back the same week this year, but the waiting for FD until mid August last summer drove me nuts. So, I jumped on FD for September.

I got married October 8th so we went the 9th-15th. It was pretty slow except for Columbus Day Monday and the weekend days. Other than that we barely waited for anything.

We went on our honeymoon last year from 10/23-10/30. It was the perfect week. Weather was great (sunny, mid 80s during the day, low 70s at night). The crowds were very light (even on a Friday night at MNSSHP there weren't many people there).

It was a little crowded at Epcot that Friday and Saturday due to the F&WF but I think that's how any weekend is there during F&WF. We had an awesome time and would definitely recommend going that week.

And I looked for you and your new hubby the entire week! I was there too!

It's a great time of year; so much going on. Food and Wine Festival, MNSSHP...I love it. I'm actually going again Oct. 7 - 13 this year.

Hahaha, did my mom know you were there at that time? Maybe if she had told me then we could have looked for each other and had more success!

Actually she did. We talked about it but this was your honeymoon. But now is a different story! Hahaha...

w go every october, and found that we prefer the earliest part of the month. the weather is a bit warmer (a few years ago, a cold front came thru while we were there at the end of oct.....we woke up to temps in the 30's such drops might not be usual, but i refuse to take the chance again - i need sunshine on the shoulders while on vaca!).
the crowds aren't bad, excepting EPCOT on weekends (F&WF), kids are in school, temps are normally in the low-mid 80's. oddly, there is usually a short rainshower (about 1/2 hour) daily around 4pm. there might be some lovebugs, nut not the swarms we usually found in late august/early sept.
this year, we are going sept 27-oct 6, time enough to enjoy the F&WF with lower crowds.

Hi Laurie!! You'll be there the week before me! I'm right behind you arriving 10/7. I totally agree about the early part of the month. I traditionally go the same time in October give or take a day or two.

have you booked any F&WF seminars? we don't have too many planned activities, but i booked via napoli (around 8p so we could watch illuminations), and friends booked one seminar for all of us (not even sure which one). we usually go to the parks only for a bit (APs) to see the "street shows", play mini-golf a lot (short walk from the BWV), read/veg....lick yummy ice cream cones while strolling the BW, watching the perfomances
we really need this vacation!

I'm staying at the BW and I have 1 Mixology Seminar booked. That's it! I don't like making too many plans when it's just me (this is a solo trip) because I usually wind up spending alot of time relaxing at the pool! Like you I have an AP so I go to the parks just for certain things. I love sitting in one of the rockers on the porch by the Haunted Mansion with a cup of coffee and just watch the world go by. I really relax when I'm alone but I also have a fantastic time!\
