We are heading down Oct 5th for the FWF and will be doing a split stay for the first time. :woohoo:
We are at BWV the first two nights and then transfer over to SSR for our last two nights. As we have a car for this trip I was wondering if it is better to load our bags up ourselves or do the transfer thing?:confused3

Also whats the best plan for check in for the transfer? I was thinking about getting up and driving over to SSR in the A.M., try to check in and then meet up with the rest of my group in the parks; any good ideas?

since you are going to SSR and you can park outside your building I myself would take the bags with me.:cool1:

You've got the right idea. If you can't get into the room right away just leave any things you need kept cold with bell services and leave the rest of your stuff in the car in front of the building you are assigned to. They may not tell you the room number but should tell you the building. I did this a couple of times and it was really easy. I got up early and took whatever I could out to the car and then went to OKW from AKL while my son was still asleep. Fortunately the room (a GV) was ready so I unloaded the luggage and went back to get him and the rest of the bags. We were on our way to the parks by 9am. This year we were turning in the car and the room was not ready at 8am so we left the bags with bell services and then headed to the parks after returning the car. DH flew in later that day (NYE) and bell services took him and the bags to the room when he arrived. I think it is much easier having a car to do a transfer than leaving it to bell services but we pack so we only take what we really need for the first day or so in one bag and the rest in the second bag which doesn't even need to go up to the room. Our split stays have been 2 days and then 5-7 at the second resort so that is a little different than 2 and 2.

Thanks for all the detail, It sounds like I won't have any issues. (Now if my waitlist for BWV for the whole trip comes thru I'll be real happy!!!!!)
