Best way to tour LA before airport

So we are thinking since we have an evening flight back home that we could stop and see a few sights in LA before we go to the airport (LAX). Specifically we just want to see the Hollywood sign, walk of fame, and Chinese theatre. I understand these are all close together. Are there any tours we could do or should we just uber or do a one way car rental? My DH is very nervous about driving in LA so he is not keen on the car rental idea (and figuring out where to park etc). Our departure day is a Sunday so I'm hoping the traffic won't be has horrendous either way.

Thanks

Traffic in LA is always bad, but driving in LA is not any worse than driving anywhere else. From DLR you will take the 5 to the 101 and get off at Highland. Super easy. You could easily drive and park at Hollywood and Highland for the day. There is a lookout there for the Hollywood sign, it is on the walk of fame, and down the block from the Chinese Theater.

If you have luggage, the best way is to rent a car. Sunseeker used to to one way ours with an airport drop off, you could try calling them. You could also do a round trip tour from Anaheim and then leave from Anaheim to LAX, but those tend to be full day tours, so the timing might not work with a flight same day.

Try out these guys I just discovered...sounds like the Uber of guided tours:

My folks are using them in New York...same thing, flight arrives early and they wanna see the city before departing for their cruise but will have luggage. Tour guide is picking them up, keeping bag in the the car and taking them on a 6 hour tour of the city wherever they wanna go then dropping them off at the cruise terminal when done.

Certainly will not be cheaper than just renting a car but a lot easier.

Renalt car will be your next best bet. There is no luggage storage at LAX and you can only check bags 4 hours ahead of your flight...and a return to Anaheim to pick up your bags from the bell desk at your hotel would be a complete waste of time.

If you want to rent a car just park it in a lot and then do the TMZ tour, it was awesome!

We tend to visit celebrity graves before heading to LAX. It is low stress and peaceful. Maybe a bit weird? Hollywood blvd is stressful!

Also right across the street from Hollywood and Highland is El Capitan theater (owned by Disney). It's a old classic Hollywood theater. If you have time to catch a movie, it's GREAT! If not, they have some neat merchandise at the soda shop adjacent to it.
