Best way to time this

I am trying to cancel a ressie at BOG and another dis'er wants to snag it....what is the best way to try to make this happen??

If one of you can do a conference call, try that and hope for the best. You'd need a nice CM wanting to help you out since I don't think they typically do this.

But I've been watching closely and haven't seen a report yet where someone cancelled one then someone else reported snagging it (at least for Nov/Dec).

I coordinated with someone to cancel an Ohana and it went off without a hitch. We were both at our computers and it showed up right away and she got it. I tried the exact same thing with a BOG........ and no go. It just disappeared into Neverland.

I don't think the cancelled BOGs are releasing into the ADR system . I canceled one a week or so ago, coordinated with a fellow Dis-er so they could grab it and it never showed up. She called Disney Dining and the CM she spoke with told her that he could have helped us coordinate it if we had called in . I don't know how willing they'd really be to do that, but it might be worth a try.

If it were any other restaurant, I'd just say to make sure you're both clear on what time you're cancelling (time zone, am/pm, etc) and it should be fine, but with BOG it's just not working out.

My suspicion is that when the opened up the system for BOG they had a glitch with credit cards (they were not required for many early reservations) and this may have lead to overbooking. This would explain why cancellations aren’t showing up for November and December as they use the cancellations now to correct the problem. This is just speculation…no flames please.

I certainly hope they do correct things and a December 11th slot opens up, but who knows. I’ll just be happy with Liberty Tree and keep checking several times a day. We do have BOG for our April trip!

I was just trying to coordinate this with another diser but it didn't work. She released it and I tried to grab it. I tried calling the dining number and looking online. the CM that I talked to said that if something is cancelled online it would show immediately and there is no delay. I've tried refreshing many times but no luck.
