Best way to see The Electric Parade and Wishes?

What would you do?

We have done 2 previous visits to WDW, 1 to DL and 1 to DLP - and we have never seen a Disney fireworks show

I have to make sure we do it this time!

We will have already done 2 full days at MK, so we can use FP+ for the Electric Parade at 9.00 and Wishes at 10.00.

Or we could get a FP+ for the Parade, and book the Dessert Party. It is our last night at WDW before we go over to the dark side, so I don't want to spend hours holding a place along Main Street.

What would you suggest?

I got a FP+ for Wishes last year and I will never view it any other way. The area you get to view it from (the Rose Garden) is grassy, not very crowded and has a spectacular view of the fireworks and the castle. A perfect spot for perfect shots:

Did you select that fp at 60 days out or did you add it that day after using your first three? Love that view, but hathe to waste a ride fp in MK, you know? Just wondering if there is any availability for the preferred viewing on the day of. Thanks!

In general, the Wishes FP+ reservations are gone long before day-of.

So, yes, (under most conditions) if you do want a Wishes FP+, it will need to be booked in advance,
it will allow you only two other advance FP+ choices at MK,
and (unless the park stays open, regular hours, well past Wishes) it will preclude you getting a 4th, 5th, 6th, etc. FP+ at MK that day.
