Best way to ride Skyliner to different resorts (when not staying at a SL resort)?

I have a reservation at ASMovies, and I’d like to spend some time in the afternoon riding the Skyliner at the different resorts to explore the Riviera, go to Boardwalk, eat some QS, etc. What’s the best option to do this? I’ll have a car. My thought is a. Park at HS and catch it there, or b. Take Disney transport to DS and then catch another bus to AoA and start our SL adventure there.
Do either options sound good? Is there a better option I’m not thinking of?

Leave your car at the resort. Take a bus to HS, you'll be closer to the Skyliner station. From there ride till your heart is content and if you get bored you can use transportation wherever you are rather than getting back to HS.

I did this today but I drove to DS to park my car and then took the bus to POP Century . I love POP and haven’t been there for awhile. It just made me happy to walk thru the lobby and past the pool area and then got onto the SkyLiner. I could have visited AoA and then skyline but I thought I would relax with iced beverage and food at Riviera. So the SkyLiner from POP requires a decision to exit at Caribbean Beach Resort and get back onto the Riviera SkyLiner link or go to HS via SkyLiner. I decided to go to RR to exit but I could have stayed on to go to Epcot. I explored the Riviera and then just decided to return to DS via bus. I ended up eating at Earl of Sandwich. But I had a very nice day.
Parking the car at HS requires a long walk from car parking spot to the Skylink in hot sun and currently no parking lot trams. So it was better to leave car in covered parking at Disney Springgs out of the sun.
On a different day, I parked at DS and took bus to the Boardwalk and took the Friendship Boat to Epcot and then got on SkyLiner to Riviera and Disney bus back to DS...
Next time I will have to figure out how to combine Monorail and boat and SkyLiner . If they ever bring back the MK railroad I could figure out a day to include everything boat, train , Tom Sawyer raft , Steamboat, PeoplMover, Autopia , Astro Orbit , monorail , SkyLiner... oh and the Aerophile Balloon in DisneySprings! Maybe I’ll save that for the opening of the Tron and include the Tron Cycle (motorcycle)....
P.S. I should add I am local Annualpassholder currently. Can hardly wait for the holiday decorations to explore . I also am DVC and have taken Disney Cruise from Disneyland thru Panam Canal to DisneyWorld.
So I have given all my money to Disney , one way or another...

There's really no reason to get a bus from DS involved; it just adds more time and hassle (unless you want to have dinner or shop at DS.)

Just take the bus to DHS, as ChimneyJim suggested. Or if you'd rather drive, park at DHS since you don't have to worry about parking.

And don't worry about transferring at CBR. It's just a matter of walking a short distance within a covered area. Unless you're traveling during a peak time, wait time is generally under 5 minutes.
