Best way to move/travel from WDW to Hard Rock Hotel

In May 2011, we are spending five nights at WDW (one of the on-sites as yet to be determined) and two nights at Universal Studios Hard Rock Hotel.

We are a family of five.

Presumably, we will be taking Disney Express from MCO to Walt Disney World.

On a Friday morning, we will have to get from our WDW resort to Universal Studios early enough to store our luggage at the hotel and pick up our front-of-the-line badges or whatnot and still get to the parks for early hours.

Finally, we'd still have to get to MCO on Sunday in the late afternoon. I believe the taxi estimate was 35.00 plus tip.

My question is what is the best way to accomplish this early morning move without just throwing money away or paying the Hard Rock twenty dollars a day to have a vehicle parked in their parking lot for Friday, Saturday and Sunday?

Just thinking about it, I realize there are a lot of ways to skin this cat, so I'm looking for all the ways to solve our transportation needs in the most efficient manner.

Taxi with no advance planning. Well, very little. With five people you're going to want a van, so Bell Services/Luggage Assistance will need to call one for you if there isn't already one waiting in the parking lot.

We used a towncar when we did the same trip but in the opposite order.

So in your example I would do a r/t towncar with the first leg being WDW resort to HRH, they will pick you up as early as you like.

The second leg is the normal HRH to MCO. The price ranges from $100 - $150 depending on the vehicle. IIRC it was $130 for the caddilac escilade (sp) which should be fine for a family of 5.

Once your at the HRH there is absolutely no need for a car unless you need to get offsite so IMHO there is no reason to have a rental and pay that parking fee.

I usually use Tiffany Towncar and would recommend them and I have a good friend who uses and would recommend the board sponsor FL tours.
