Best way to make a room request?

What’s the best way these days- calling the main reservation line or the individual resort? As always, I understand it’s only a request!

Call the main reservation line to have the request noted on your reservation. If you call the hotel you’ll get a CM in a call center somewhere, not the hotel.

Make your request through the same people you made your reservation with. If you booked with Disney Reservation Center, call them. Keep your request simple to improve your odds.
