best way to get upgrades?

We have rented points for the BWV for March 7 - 12 in a preferred view studio villa. Is it possible to be upgraded, and if so, what has worked for others in the past? We are taking our 2 year old this time, and leaving our annoying 16 and 17 year olds at home... (don't worry, they'll be off to Hawaii over their spring break, so don't feel too sorry for them!) yahoo!

It is very, very unlikley that you will get an upgrade - the DVC resorts do not upgrade points reservations as a matter of policy. Occasionally, you will hear of someone being upgraded, but it is usually for a unique/special reason like an unforeseen maintenance problem.

I'm sure you'll like the BWV - no matter which room you are assigned.
