Best way to get to Yacht/Beach Club from Caribbean Beach?

I think I know my options, but I wanted to see if anyone else has any advice for me.

Our Animal Kingdom night, after the park closes we plan to go back to our resort (Caribbean Beach), then we have 7:40pm reservations at Yachtsman Steakhouse. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get there/back.

As far as I know, my only 2 options are:
-Just hire a taxi both ways
-Take the bus to MK, then the bus to Yacht Club, then the reverse to return home.

At first I thought we could take the bus to Epcot, then take the boat over to Yacht Club; but I'm pretty sure now that the boat only leaves from the International Gateway, and we will not have park hoppers, so we can't cut through Epcot to get there.
We will also not have a car.

It's just frustrating that both of these resorts are Epcot area resorts, and I have to travel all the way up to MK, but I don't see another option (without paying for the taxi).

Any thoughts? Which would you do? If it matters, it's just me and hubby, and the dinner is the only thing we have planned for that evening. Thanks!

You could also take the bus to HS and the boat from there. You don't have to enter the park. The return trip would depend on the time the boats stop running. There is also the DTD option both ways.

You are correct about needing park hoppers for the Epcot option.

One option you don't have on your list is taking the bus from CBR to DHS, then taking the boat or walking to YC from there. If you go to DHS, unlike Epcot, you do NOT have to enter the park to get to the boat dock or to be able to walk to YC.

You also could bus from CBR to DTD and then switch to a YC bus there, but that is not likely to be as efficient as using DHS as a hub (unless you see a DHS bus pulling away at CBR and a DTD bus is pulling in right behind it).

Going back your option will be to go to any park that's still open (if any) or to take the bus from YC to DTD and transfer to a CBR bus there.

A taxi is always going to be quicker and easier for resort-to-resort trips (unless you are going from one monorail resort to another or in a few other specific cases), FWIW.

As you've already recognized, a cab would be fastest.

But if you're looking for options that a free, you have more options than just a bus connection at the Magic Kingdom.

You can also make a bus connection at Downtown Disney.

If Disney's Hollywood Studios is open, you can take a bus there and then either walk or take a boat to the Yacht Club.

It's only about a 2-mile walk from Caribbean Beach to Yacht Club (via BoardWalk Resort), but as far as I know, part of Buena Vista Drive still has no paved sidewalks, only grass at the side of the road. Given the frequent rains, walking through the grass can be a wet mess.

If it were me....I would hop on the bus to DHS from CBR. Then, once there, I would either walk or boat over to the YC. For the return to CBR??? I would take a cab. Shouldn't be very expensive. But, if you want, and don't mind spending the time to do it, you can take the bus to DTD, then hang there for a bit, and then bus to CBR.

Thanks everyone for the tips and advice so far.

I should have mentioned, I've considered a few of these other options as well.
I do know that we won't want to walk from DHS since we'll be all dressed up for dinner.

A few more questions:
-How long does the boat ride from DHS to Yacht/Beach take? And how frequently do the boats depart?
-How late to the busses run from DTD to resorts?
-As a side note, how late is anything open at DTD? If we have a 7:40 dinner, by the time we get to DTD will much still be open? It's been a long time since I've been to DTD...

-How long does the boat ride from DHS to Yacht/Beach take?

About 15 to 20 minutes

And how frequently do the boats depart?

About every 15 minutes

How late to the busses run from DTD to resorts?

Until 2:00 am

Most of the shops are open until 11:00 or 12:00. Bars are open until 1:00 or 2:00. I'm guessing that Splitsville will be open late as well.

Thank you so much! Sounds like this might be the way to get home -- I haven't been to DTD in almost 10 years, and DH hasn't ever been. So maybe this will be a good opportunity to take a look!

At this point I'm leaning toward a bus to DHS then the boat to Yacht Club, then the bus to DTD and a bus to Caribbean for the trip back.

Thanks again everyone!!

Keep in mind the wait times....you may have to wait up to 20 mins for the bus to DHS to arrive, then once you get to DHS, it could be 20+ mins before a boat comes in. Sure, there could be one docking just as you walk up, but best to be prepared for a wait. Then, it's about 15 mins to YC/BC.

DTD is a ton of fun at night...and the buses run until quite late, so you should be fine.

I think that would be the best option, especially if you want to check out DTD after dinner.
