I booked a reservation for dinner one night at 5:30 at Artist Point on our upcoming trip. We plan to be at MK that day, and we'd like to be back at MK for the fireworks that night at 9:00. Does anybody happen to know the best / fastest way to get to Artist Point from MK? The agent I talked to said I could take a boat and then a motorcoach, but I wanted know if leaving the park and driving, and then driving back would be quicker.

Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :yay:

Honestly, I would just take the boat from MK to WL and walk right up to the resort to eat. From what I can remember no motor coach should be required!

We always stay at the WL and honestly, the fastest way is to take the boat over from the MK. As the PP said, you do not have to take the bus. It's a very short ride and it's very pleasant. The only thing is, if you are going to have a stroller, you have to fold it for the smaller boat. If it's the larger boat, you can simply roll right on. Have fun! Artist Point is one of our favorite WDW restaurants and the WL is absolutely beautiful. If you have the time, walk around and do a little exploring while you're there.

Thank you for your help! I'm looking forward to taking the boat over to the WL :) Where would we pick up the boat to get there?

We are excited about Artist Point- we recently heard about it, and we were able to get a table for the exact time we wanted. so excited! We won't have a problem getting back for the fireworks at 9:00, will we?

Thanks!

You should get back in plenty of time. The boat to WL is right outside the MK entrance. When you exit the park, straight ahead of you is a dock with a sign for the WL (WL boat is on the left side of that dock) and to the right is the monorail ramp. To the left is the boat dock for the other ferries to TTC and other hotels and walkway to the buses. The ride is less than 10 minutes.

Oh and the restaurant is excellent! It's usually not a problem getting reservations, it doesn't seem to be too popular, but it's very good. A hidden secret I think.

I agree with the prior advice.

But I wanted to add, trying to get back to your car and driving will ALWAYS be longer. You need to wait for the monorail or ferry to get you back to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and by the time you do that, you probably could have gotten on a bus or boat to the WL.

If I've noticed the boat has just left, I might head to the bus stop to pick up the WL bus instead.

No way -dont take the bus!(reason I say this the bus goes to 2 or more resorts-every trip this changes -as to which resort and in what order-one year we shared with the campground and took FOREVER!!!)

There is always 2 boats-as one is leaving the MK dock-the other is leaving the WL dock-just wait for the next one-and allow 20 min from when you exit MK to get to WL dock-then maybe 5-8 min walk to restaurant
