We are staying at the All Star Sports in November and would like to know what the best way to get some groceries to our room. We have a 2 year old and need some things we just can't pack. What is the closest grocery store from that resort? Are taxi's or one day car rentals even feasible? Thank you for the help. It's our first trip with the little guy and just trying to weigh all the options. Thank you for your help.

We too use Garden Grocer to deliver groceries right to our resort. If you place your order 60 days in advance you receive a 10% discount on your order. There is a $14 delivery fee but it is well worth it in my opinion. You choose your delivery window and they will deliver to Bell Services if you are not there. Bell Services will store, and refrigerate food if necessary.
It is a great service.

The easiest and probably cheapest thing to do is use a shopping service. For a small fee, they will take your grocery list and go shop for you and deliver it to your resort.

We have used one before and it was great. They just charged us a20% service fee I believe. Which was way cheaper than a cab, and saved us a ton of time.

I'll let someone else post the names of some, as the dis has rules about posting that info and I can't remember which services I'm allowed to mention.

Thank you all for the ideas. I am sorry if it is posted in the wrong spot. Any other ideas would be great. Can I use that garden grocer and have it delivered for the day I check I ? Will it be there waiting for me when we get there?

Depends on what you need. Amazon Pantry is great for non perishables if you have Amazon Prime. Otherwise you can use a service like WeGoShop, Garden Grocer, or Orlando Grocery Express. WeGoShop is basically a personal shopper, give them you list and where you would like them to shop and they buy it all and deliver for you. You get charged the cost on the receipt plus their service fee. They will use coupons, go to multiple stores, etc whatever you want. Garden Grocer and Orlando Grocery Express both have a limited selection of goods on their websites with their posted prices plus a delivery fee. You select what you want from their choices, and they will deliver it to your resort. Some people prefer this method over WeGoShop as you know exactly what your final price will be. Others prefer WeGoShop as the prices for these vendors are marked up, and then you still pay a service/delivery fee (unless you spend X amount).

I love garden grocer! I am guessing it is still valid, but when I used them and ordered 60 days out, they gave me a 10% discount. I recommend 100%.

I love We Go Shop. I get exactly what I use at home and they make multiple stops some if Mom and Dad want a bottle of wine or other frosty beverage they can also stop at the liquor store for you.

It also depends on what you were planning on getting. For example, at ASSports you can buy a loaf of bread at the food court. They are not on display, but ask . If you want bread, eggs, milk, some frozen meals etc. go to the Contemporary 4th floor. We do this sometimes after MK. Fort Wilderness has a nice selection of above items plus bacon, weiners, buns etc. If you were staying at a hotel on Hotel Plaza Disney Springs area, there is a grocery store at Crossroads, within walking distance. If you don't have a car, and are looking for big grocery shopping, there is a Publix on # 192 that can be reached by bus. Catch a # 56 at the TTC, MK area. The bus trip takes about 15 minutes, but it does take a chunk out of your day.

Another option would be to take a taxi or the short All-Star Sports-DAK-AKL Kidani bus trip.

Kidani, being a DVC Resort has a big selection of grocery goods.:)

We used Amazon Pantry on our last trip and it worked out great - we got bottled water, soda, breakfast items, snacks.

How much is a gallon of milk at the resort's and do they have them at all resort's like all star sports? Also does a gallon fit in the refrigerator at the all star sports resort? Thanks!

I'm not speaking from personal experience, but I do know the fridges are small dorm style. If you bought a gallon of milk it might fit if you laid it on the side, but you might have to remove a shelf, and I don't think the shelves are removable. I believe your best bet would to buy smaller containers of milk more often. That being said, the fridges can hold a remarkable amount of food. I've had eggs, bacon, bags of salad, cheese, weiners, bags of sandwich meat, and sizable jugs of orange juice plus a few small things I 've since forgotten in ours with no problem.

OK thank you. Might just order 2 half gallons instead of a gallon then. Any updates how much the milk is at the resorts?
