Best way to get from Universal to Disney for one day?

I've looked all around the boards and everyone seems to be interested in getting from Disney to Universal, but haven't been able to find much if anything on going from Universal to Disney. We're going down in a couple of months and are taking a shuttle or towncar from the airport to RPH. We're considering doing MK the first full day we're down there, since we know we'll miss it too much. The only thing keeping us from doing it would be the price for a one day ticket if we can't find any days left on old passes (we have them somewhere, just not sure which where or which tickets have days left). If we do decide to go, we plan on staying from open to close, but I've heard some bad stuff about Mears, and don't want to risk going through that kind of stuff. So with four of us going from RPH to MK, would it be easier to do a towncar? I already know a taxi is expensive, and I don't believe there is a car rental site at Universal (but I could be wrong).
We're not going for a little over three months, but if we know our options about the best way to get there, it'll be easier to decide if it's worth it or not.
Thanks!

My nephew and niece rented a car for a day to go to Daytona, when we stayed at RPR in 2004, not sure where they rented it from but I know they did it at one of the hotels, HRH or RPR. I'm at work right now but I'll ask them tonight about it and let you know tomorrow. :thumbsup2

I found out there is a Hertz Car Rental desk at the RPR. My niece got a very good deal, hope you do also. HTH :cool1:

Going the towncar route would be my recommendation. My nephew and I went on a Disney cruise last January and stayed at HRH. Silly boy wanted to stay there but go to MGM. <sigh> So we used Sunray Transportation. They picked us up at DCL, took us to HRH, we checked in, then they took us to MGM. We gave them a pick up time but ended up having to call for an earlier pick up because we were so tired and for some reason, MGM was just swaying like crazy!!!! ;) We called about an hour before we were ready to hit the road and there was no problem. From what I can remember, it was about $60+gratuity for the R/T from HRH to MGM.
